Teens age 13–18 years old in the US qualify for a free subscription, just head here and sign up through Peer Health Exchange. Additionally, all K-12 teachers, school administrators, and supporting staff in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia can head on over here and select your school’s location to verify your status and get started!
Headspace boasts a huge catalog of meditation courses, mindfulness exercises, videos, and even exercises for anxiety, insomnia, self-esteem, exercise, weight loss, and more! Use the app on mobile devices and electronics featuring Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
Don’t qualify for this offer? College students can score a Headspace Student Membership for only $9.99/per year (regularly $69.99/per year)!
Headspace also has specialty content made for educators, including the “Headspace for Educators: Meditation 101” course which teaches mindfulness practices to help train and educate the next generation. This freebie is one both educators and students will benefit from. 🙌🏼
If you’ve never experimented with a meditation app before, check out why the Hip team loves this app!
“I personally use the Headspace App and actually paid full price for a one-year membership! It has been well worth the regular cost so to get the membership free with this deal is awesome! I had never practiced any sort of meditation until I discovered the app – it is super easy to use (love all the videos!) and literally requires just a few minutes per day if you are short on time.” — Sister Sidekick, Bryn
There are more freebies & discounts for educators and homeschooling parents!
Wish they offered this free for first responders and veterans. So many of them are struggling with anxiety and get very little access to free help. Not sure why it’s just for teachers.
I think its being offered like this because of Teacher Appreciation Week. I would keep checking back especially around dates like Memorial Day and/or independence, Veteran’s Day for those offers. Just guessing Don’t know for certain.
Makes sense. Didn’t know it was teacher appreciation week. Thanks.
How long is the subscription? 1 year? 1 month?
Thanks for letting us know about this.
Looks like they aren’t asking for credit cards and there is no ending date to the subscription.
Does this work for homeschooling parents?
Great question, Phelan! I looked at the form and found this, “If you are a US K-12 educator, we authenticate with your school or district email address.” It might not work for homeschool parents. However, teens 13 – 18 can sign up for a free account.🥰
