Keep your pet healthy just by purchasing their food!

Through July 31st, IAMS is helping you save money and keep your pet healthy by paying for their next vet checkup (up to $150) – sweet!

Visits to the vet can be super expensive, so every bit of help goes a long way. Getting your next vet visit for free is super easy! All you have to do is buy two 11-pound or larger bags of IAMS Dry Dog Food or any two 6-pound or larger bags of IAMS Dry Cat Food – make sure to keep your receipt you’ll need it to score this deal.

If shopping online make sure to grab a screenshot or have a copy of your receipt emailed to you. According to the IAMS FAQ page, you will need a clear, concise image to qualify for reimbursement.

Even better, if you have both dogs and cats, you can get one cat reward AND one dog reward per household!

*Note that the vet visits are to be completed through July 31st, 2023.

Readers loved grabbing this offer last year!

Thank you for posting this! I happened to see this the day that I was taking the dog to the vet and we buy Iams all the time, so this worked out well. We just received the check in the mail. Thank you!

This is completely legit, I did it and got a check super fast in the mail! So amazing.

My daughter & I did this last year. Even if your pet doesn’t eat Iams, it’s worth it to donate the food. Reimbursement was quick.

Love your idea but….. my yearly vet check for my 3 cats is in February/March so I will have to miss out. Right now I have 3 – 22lb bags of Iams cat food sitting in my closet. I have fed my cats Iams for years so it is sad that I cannot participate.

Aww bummer! So sorry this offer didn’t pop up at an ideal time for your cat’s check-ups. 🐾 Hoping you might be able to share this with a friend or family member to snag a free check-up for their pet! ❤️

  2. Ashley

Does this include vaccinations, like a yearly rabies shot?

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Great question, Ashley! I found this in the terms and conditions of the offer – “Sponsor is offering eligible Participants who receive a routine check-up and/or preventative well-check veterinarian visit (the “Veterinary Treatment”) for their dog or cat from any licensed veterinary clinic in the United States. Limitations apply: qualifying Veterinary Treatment specifically excludes any service that is not typically part of an annual or routine well-check veterinary visit, as determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion. Treatments that do not qualify for the program include, without limitation, surgeries, therapy services, chiropractic care, emergency veterinary visits/services, dental cleanings, x-rays, nail trims, illness exams, medications (excluding heartworm preventative), and spay/neuter surgeries.” You might check with your vet office to see if vaccinations are included in the description of a routine check-up or preventative well-check, or contact Iams customer service at 1-800-675-3849. Hoping this might be helpful! 💕

I have a gift card to Chewy. Do you think this would still work if I used that to help pay for the food?

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hey Jenny! I checked in the terms and conditions and it seems that there is not any specific details on method of payment required for purchasing the food, only what the receipt should include. “Purchase two (2) or more Participating DOG or CAT Products from a Participating Retailer during the Purchase Period and ensure that you receive and store carefully the applicable sales receipt(s) evidencing such purchase (the “Sales Receipt”). (Participants must ensure that the applicable Sales Receipt identifies the Participating Retailer, date of purchase, and purchase price).” Hoping this helps! 💕

    Thank you!

      You’re welcome! 🥰

Ok, since u r really so much help & thank u buy the way for all the answers u guys give us BTW. I have a weird question.
Can I buy cat food & use vet bill for my dog?
My dog is the 1 going for a well visit during this timeframe & I need cat food sooner than dog food. I hope this makes sence, lol.

  6. Cmascio2002

    sense, sorry.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hey there! I spoke with customer service on this and they did say that as long as you purchase the correct number of eligible products, that the service can be for your the other (ex: buy dog food, vet for cat – and vice versa). Hoping this is helpful! ❤️

I’ve participated in this promo for the last 3 years, and I love that Iams does this for pet parents. On April 28th, my dog had an exam, rabies vaccine, and parvo vaccine. I also purchased a year supply of Heartgard on the same invoice. My total was $180. I got back $150, which was the max rebate allowance. I received my payment via PayPal less than 24 hours after submitting the invoices online. They didn’t only pay for the checkup and vaccines; they also paid for part of the Heartgard. (Heartgard also gives you a $15 rebate on their site for buying a year supply. Extra bonus!) TIP: Iams doesn’t care if you buy the food on sale as long as it’s on their list of eligible sizes and varieties–check the list on the Iams site. I purchased my 2 bags from Chewy, and there was a $20 off promo. It was approved by Iams. Target also does promos like buy 2 and receive a gift card. That’s still valid with Iams. The only issue I’ve run into is that if you are submitting an invoice for a dog, you have to submit food for a dog. My dog has allergies and can only eat certain food, so I wanted to buy cat food for my cats instead. Iams said that was not allowed, so you might double check with them before you try that. This deal is awesome–I look forward to it every year!

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thorough review and experience on this promo, Taryn! 🙌 Glad to hear they covered the maximum amount for you and our payment arrived super quick! 🎉❤️

      • Taryn

Yes! I submitted my itemized invoices late Friday night, and I got the PayPal payment alert on Saturday afternoon. If you aren’t able to feed Iams to your pets, they’re great items to donate to your local animal shelter. My local Humane Society always appreciates the gift of food–it’s a win win for every one! Thank you for sharing this promo, Hip2Save!

        • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

YAY! You’re so welcome! 🥰 Good tip about donating the food if it’s not your pet’s preferred brand too! 🙌❤️

  8. YING

Thank you so much H2S posted this, otherwise I would never know I can get $138 vet visit reimbursed. Thank you so much!!! It was so easy, I submitted the receipt for the Saturday’s visit and received $138 in Paypal today!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Woohoo! That’s SO awesome! 🎉 You’re most welcome! Thank YOU for the update on how well it worked for you! We sure appreciate you coming back to let us know. 🤗💕

  9. Cj coston

Ok this is July 31 I can still send in receipts?

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)
