We replaced our old, worn-out spring doorstops with these, and the difference is night and day. These magnets are very reasonably priced, easy to install, and actually do what they’re supposed to—hold the door securely in place.
At first, they seem like they might be too strong, but once installed, they’re easy to use and release without any issues. They come with 3M adhesive, but I chose to screw them directly into the baseboard and door for a more solid, permanent install—which I’d recommend if you want something that lasts.
The build quality feels solid, and they work exactly as intended. The only “issue” we’ve had isn’t the product—it’s our very determined Maine Coon kittens, who are somehow still strong enough to mess with things behind the door.
Overall, great value, simple install, and a big upgrade from traditional doorstops!
