See why reviewers love this car seat…

This is a great car seat, that works well, while also being very lightweight. It’s very easy to maneuver in and out of your car when you need to, and it’s easy to attach to the seat in your car. It’s designed nicely and fits a child comfortably while being able to detach it from its main base. The sunshade is nice to block the sun, the handle is strong and overall it’s a very nice design.

Okay this is only the second Maxi-Cosi that I have tested out but I am thinking I am falling in love with them more than my favorite brand that I won’t mention but rhymes with Heyco. 🙂

This is only a little more expensive than the premium affordable brands. I think it was way easier to get in the car than half the others I have tried!! It only took me about 10 minutes tops (though I do have four kids). My niece seems to be happy in it and my sister in law is ecstatic!!! It is SOOOO much more comfortable to carry a baby in this than the regular carry!!!! Even though if you want to, that’s still an option too. We even tried it with a sleeping baby and she was not woken up. This was such an innovative idea. My SIL is sold. I think I would say to splurge a bit and get it.

I know this seat hasn’t been out very long and it’s hard to find reviews so I thought I’d add my experience. I’ve been using this car seat for about 10 months with my son and it’s honestly phenomenal! He’s my 4th baby so I’m very familiar with typical infant seats and I’d never go back to one again!! I have a bad back and also have some residual arm weakness from tendonitis, which is the reason I shelled out the money for the Coral XP in the first place, and it has been an absolute game changer this time around! That removable inner shell is genius! It only weighs 5lbs and it feels like nothing to carry around! I couldn’t believe the difference versus the weight of my previous Chicco Keyfits! The crazy looking shoulder strap distributes the weight across your whole body instead of doing the awkward lopsided side carry with a normal seat, and it has been soooo much easier on my back and body. It looks like it would be uncomfortable to carry it that way from the photos, but the strap is suuuuper padded and really stretchy and it isn’t uncomfortable at all. I very often just carry it over 1 shoulder like a dufflebag for short distances. And the other carrying handles are also way more handy and comfortable that the regular single carrying handle on an infant seat. None of the awkward and slightly painful carrying of the handle in the crook of your arm either. Couldn’t be happier! My husband really loves it too. He’s mentioned repeatedly how much better he likes it than a normal seat. And it is an absolute steal at that sale price!! I’ve never seen it drop below $320 before!! As far as drawbacks, the inner shell that you carry by itself is very lightweight and handy, but it still is pretty heavy and bulky if you choose to carry around the outer and inner seat together. I probably wouldn’t recommend this seat if that is something you would want or need to do often. I would say it feels very comparable to a Chicco Keyfit weight wise when carried with the inner and outer shell together, but is quite a bit bulkier than a Keyfit when used with the outer shell. Another potential drawback, when carrying around the inner shell alone there isn’t a canopy attached. The canopy is attached to the outer seat, which I generally just leave installed in the car when out and about. You can also get a stroller adapter that allows you to use just the inner shell alone instead of attaching the full seat, and that adapter has a canopy attached to it, so that you can still have a canopy when using the inner shell by itself with a stroller. For me the benefits greatly outweigh the drawbacks, we would definitely buy it again! I don’t think there’s really anything else like it on the market!
