This is the third Membrane Solutions MSA3 air purifier I have purchased, not because of any problems. I just wanted another one to put in the back bedroom where the dogs sleep. The other two do a great job, and I wanted to get a jump on the hair and slight odor in the other room. The units are well-made, and there are three normal speeds to choose from and a sleep mode that is very quiet with no lights on, so it is hardly noticeable even when running right next to the bed. Replacement filters are fairly expensive, but they remove a lot of pet hair and other debris from the air. The first filter comes in the machine sealed in a plastic bag, so don’t forget to remove the filter from the panel and take the bag off the filter, and reinstall it, or the purifier will never start working. Removing the front cover is easy, and it snaps back in place when properly adjusted.
I love this. It runs on auto mode forever, and when I am dusting/cleaning, you can hear it kick on higher. It senses when the air quality changes. I have used this for over a year and replaced the filter once. A must-have in an old farmhouse.
