This review is for the Polly Pocket Spin ‘n Surprise Compact Playset, Tropical Smoothie Shape, and Waterpark Theme. The younger members of our family love all the imaginative play that comes with the Polly Pocket sets, and we have ordered several of them because they enjoy Polly Pocket so much. It is always very creative themes, well-thought-out designs, and of course, includes the “surprise” reveal of accessories hidden in the sets.

This particular Spin ‘n Surprise set is one of the larger ones from Polly Pocket that we have seen. It is the size of a large smoothie or milkshake and opens up to reveal 3 fun-filled levels, as well as 25 various water-themed items, such as a seahorse, octopus, jet ski, etc. As with all Polly Pocket sets, these pieces are very small, and definitely not for kids under 4 years old. But for the older kids, it is packed full of fun.

Something to be aware of with this set is that it is more than just a “Waterpark Theme” where you just pretend there is water. It really does use water. There is a pool, a splash pad, etc. The splash pad, for example, has a push-pump button that shoots several streams of water up into the air, just like a real splash pad. It can go surprisingly high, around 2’ if you push the button fairly fast. So unlike other Polly Pocket sets, this one does has the potential for getting a little messy/wet around the area where it is being used. Either plan accordingly for the water, or just don’t use water (and good luck convincing the little ones they don’t need water every time…). It really is a very fun set, one of the best I have seen in the Polly Pocket line. I would order it again.
