ramen inside a blue rapid mac cooker

These people are loving their Rapid Mac Cookers!

This is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I’m a college student so I have pretty limited resources when it comes to cooking. I really only have a microwave available to use. I make food in my mac cooker all the time. It’s perfect not only for mac and cheese but for really anything you need to boil, rice, pasta, etc. The square shape can make it a little tricky to hold, but honestly, that’s not even a problem since it cooks noodles so well. I was on the fence about getting it, since “As Seen on TV” products are usually not that trustworthy, but it’s a great product. I’ve used mine a ton and there hasn’t been any wear or warping. I’ve put it in the dishwasher a couple of times and it’s totally fine. If you’re thinking about getting it, don’t hesitate. This product is fantastic.

I have 4 of these handy versatile containers. I use them for mac n cheese, food storage, oatmeal, heating leftovers and cooking small amounts of pasta for salad. They are very sturdy and easy to clean. I haven’t baked a cake in one yet but I might try to make some cornbread from a box! I might get 2 more, I use them so much!

I can vouch for this! That’s how we use to make our Mac and cheese at work for the kiddos! It tastes good!

Do you just cook it on High for 5 minutes in the microwave and then add the butter, milk and cheese after?

      • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Yes, and you stir it halfway through. My 14-year-old daughter loves it. Very easy and only one dish to clean- no strainer.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Yay! Glad to hear how well it has worked for your family, Aubrey! Thanks for the feedback! 🥰

Awesome, my hours are changing at my job, and I am always looking for a quick fix on dinner ideas (single mom), this will definitely come in handy. Thank you!

I think this makes a much creamier mac and cheese because the starch from the pasta is absorbed and not dumped out with the water, as it is when cooked conventionally. If you like the texture out of the “blue box,” you may not care for this. The Rapid products are also available for cooking rice and ramen and eggs.

I use this at least once a week for my Mac n cheese loving kiddos. Box to table in less than 6 minutes!

I got this on clearance at Hobby Lobby. It works well. For shells and cheese I just add a few more minutes.

I ordered these the last time you posted and one arrived with one of the corners broken off. I emailed the company and they sent out a replacement and I’ve already received it! Amazing customer service!!!! And, I love the convenience of these bowls! I’m keeping one for home and putting one in our RV =)

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

I’m so glad you could easily get a replacement! Thanks for sharing your experience, Jane!

I found a 2 pack of noodle cookers, ramen noodle sized, for $5 in the dollar spot at Target a couple weeks ago. We bought them and they are great for ramen! I am sold on this for a Christmas gift for college students. I am going to keep an eye out for a better deal, since there is time.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

What a great find! Thanks for the heads up!

  8. Becky

I have one of these and love the way it cooks the noodles, but is there a trick so that it doesn’t boil over in the microwave? I always end up having to clean the turntable in the microwave because the water bubbles over!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Becky! I did search a bit on this and it seems that may be prevented if double checking that the water level isn’t too high before cooking. Hope that might help! 🤗
