I’ve had a Kenmore stick vacuum for the past 7 years- they’re no longer made so I did some research before going with a new brand. I was always very impressed with the Kenmore SSV elite I had before- this blows that one out of the water.
I have all hard surface floors except a few area rugs and carpet on my steps. Should you buy this if you have a whole house of carpet? No, if you have a whole house of carpet a stick vacuum is NOT for you- they don’t last long enough at the hugest suction power- no brand will. But if you have hard floors and some area rugs, make that purchase- you can thank me later.
I have two jute and one sisal rug and it cleans them all quite well. It’s easy to clean my couch and my car. Great for daily use with a regular vacuum used between for deeper carpet cleaning. You can easily clean hard surface floors on the lowest suction setting.
With my old stick vacuum, I could only clean one floor of my house at a time before charging. Now I can do two of the three between charges and it charges quickly. A second battery can be bought for a reasonable price to extend your vacuuming time.
The vacuum isn’t too heavy and it’s easy to hold. The buttons are close at hand and easy to push while you’re cleaning. The dirt bin is easy to open and dump and holds a fair amount. It’s relatively quiet- at least for me much quieter than my old vacuum.
