This dryer works much faster than my old basic one. I would say it cuts the dry time by about 40 or 50%. It’s fairly lightweight and easy to maneuver, although the cord is clunky. The instructions are clear and it has suggested heat and strength settings for each attachment. I dried my hair to about 80% dry, following the instructions, and then I used the attachment with the brush to finish. It made a nice voluminous style with just a hint of wave.

What really impressed me was when I followed it with the anti-frizz attachment. Ordinarily, I would spend another 20 minutes with a straightener and hair product to tame fly always and frizz after drying, but this attachment took care of all of that in seconds. You just touch the attachment to the surface of your hair lightly and glide it down, then repeat for the rest of your hair. It’s amazing. I almost never heat-style my hair because it took so long with my old tools, but this is a game-changer for me! I love it.

I absolutely love this hair dryer! I’ve been on the search for one that is powerful yet doesn’t use extreme heat. I tried the Flex Style first, but I didn’t use enough of the attachments to justify the price, but this one is perfect for my needs. I have fine hair, but a lot of it, and it tends to get frizzy. I used to dry my hair and then straighten it, but I am no longer using a straightener. The concentrator tool gets my hair mostly dry, then I follow it up with the brush. The best tool is the rapid gloss attachment. I have flyaways before using it, then they’re gone and my hair is super sleek after. I also bought the express touch-up brush attachment separately.

I would absolutely recommend this hair dryer. I’ve never been happier with a hair tool and my hair hasn’t felt this healthy in a long time.

Don’t waste your money on the Dyson version. This is the same technology. Some of the reviews mention the optional attachments didn’t fit. They bought the wrong attachments. This model and the Flex version have different attachments, they are not interchangeable (as stated in the product description).

This thing dries hair fast and makes it smooth and straight without damage or having to use a flat iron. I have never been disappointed in a Shark product.
