I use these markers for writing notes and signing cards and letters. The point of the pen is a good size for those purposes and definitely does not smear at all. It is important to make sure the cap is firmly in place after use so that the pen does not dry out. I buy the red, black, and blue colors in these bulk packs for a great price and then buy other packs with a larger variety of colors.
