For the past year I’ve been using silicone mats to protect my countertop for food preps. My old mat was fine but it was not as durable as I would have like and I did not feel comfortable placing warm containers on it. This new mat is almost twice as thick as it is .7mm vs the .4mm of my previous mat. That extra thickness makes this mat feel more robust and higher quality. Additionally, the mat has useful baking information on it and can also serve as a non stick surface for baking things like cookies in the oven. The mat will remain on my countertop indefinitely, so I’ll be able to take it through it paces.
