I purchased an upholstered lift platform bed from Wayfair years ago and I love it. It was under $500 for a queen, but I’m not sure the price now. The whole mattress lifts up so you can use the entire space under the bed. I store all my bulky luggage under there.

I have german beds that I brought back to the states with me and they have storage under them. You just lift the mattress and I keep all my extra bedding and other items under the bed. The double beds lift on each side and the twin beds lift from the bottom. Can’t imagine living without them.
