Person tie-dying a shirt

Tulip Tie-Dye Kits could not be easier. This one-step process eliminates the need to presoak fabrics in soda ash – just add water to the included dye bottles, shake, and apply. What a fun craft to do with your kiddos and their friends! You can even make matching shirts for family trips and reunions!

This set includes 12 bottles with dye, 40 rubber bands, 16 gloves, a reusable surface cover, and a project guide.

Check out how this reviewer does tie-dye at the beach!

I’ve purchased this kit two years in a row to take with my family to the beach for a rainy day craft project. This kit comes with bottles that are already filled with powdered dye to which you add water to activate, rubber bands for tying, and several pairs of plastic gloves to protect little fingers. You don’t have to soak the clothes in soda ash before you dye them like you do with some kits.

We’ve had no problems making 5 adult-sized t-shirts with extra dye left over using one kit. My kids love the rainbow of bright colors, and after a year of washing, we’ve had no problems with fading.

To use at the beach, we lay down plastic garbage bags on the ground, and dye on top of them. After saturating the shirts we roll them up in the plastic garbage bags and leave them in the sun for a few days before rinsing and then washing.

See why we LOVE the Tulip Tie-Dye brand!

Does anyone have any tips on how to dissolve the powder well? We always end up with blotches of undissolved dye powder no matter how much I shake the bottles 🤦‍♀️

It looks like the directions mention to give it a good shake. You could try using water that’s just a bit warmer or reach out to customer service for if they may be able to offer additional help. ❤️
