a six pack of X-Sense Smoke Detectors

Get smoke detection coverage throughout your home with these compact interconnected smoke detectors. This set contains six units, but you can connect up to 24 to create a smart home network that will work on different floors, in the basement, and even in the garage with a transmission range of 820 feet. When one smoke detector is triggered, all of the alarms will sound so everyone in your home will hear it. Plus they can be installed quickly and easily, with no hardwiring needed.

Each smoke detector contains a 5-year replaceable battery and there’s a low-battery warning to let you know when it needs to be replaced.

*Note that while this model supports wireless interconnection, it does not have Wi-Fi.

On the fence? Check out these helpful reviews…

This is an economical smoke detector that was super easy to install. The instructions were helpful for proper placement. The little booklet even includes how to clean and test the unit. I needed to add a smoke detector to my bedroom to meet the new codes of my town (current main detector was literally in the hallway outside the bedroom door but needed another in the bedroom too). If you go to Home Depot, the cheapest you can get is over $20 and huge. This was compact and reasonably priced. Would recommend to all my friends especially if they are replacing multiple units.

We have an older house that has a few rooms not on the central alarm system, so for years, I’ve had to set a calendar reminder to go around and reinstall batteries in all of our smoke alarms. What a pain that is — but the only thing more painful is to have one of them decide to start chirping, usually at 3 AM, and then have to spend 20 minutes figuring out which one is the culprit. Arggggh. As those alarms are aging out I am replacing them with these. I love how compact this unit is — it takes up much less real estate on the wall or ceiling than standard alarms. They are also lightweight enough that I just used mounting tape rather than screws, and so far so good.
