Will the Wildly Popular Dillard’s New Year’s Day Clearance Sale Return for 2026?

If you’ve been eagerly waiting to learn whether Dillard’s will be hosting its annual New Year’s Sale, you’re not the only one! We’ve heard from so many readers hoping to hear about the return of this popular sale.
In years past, Dillard’s offered an extra 50% off clearance items on New Year’s Day, which, as you can imagine, made for exceptional deals on TONS of name-brand and designer merchandise.
Dillard’s seriously disappointed its loyal shoppers when it first canceled its 2022 sale with only a few days’ notice. Unfortunately, Dillard’s big New Year’s Day Sale didn’t return to kick off any of the new years since then, either.
We spotted 75% off clearance on their website, so there are definitely markdowns happening at Dillard’s, though there’s been no official word as to the future of the popular New Year’s Day Sale itself. We’re really hoping that this is the year it returns!
With the store reporting relatively strong Q3 sales in 2025, maybe the excitement of an epic sales event would keep that momentum going! 🤞

We were told by the store manager in Las Vegas during their VIP party a couple weeks ago that they are not going to do this sale again we are super bummed he said that the stores are doing well and unless they start doing bad they’re not gonna bring the sale back
