Hefty Recycling Bags

A class action lawsuit against Hefty & Great Value has been settled.

Reynolds Consumer Products which produces Hefty and Great Value bags has agreed to settle a class action lawsuit alleging that their Recycling bags were misleading because recycling trash bags are not recyclable at many solid waste disposal facilities and are not suitable for the disposal of recyclable products.

Though Reynolds has denied all claims they have agreed to settle and pay up. This means eligible consumers are entitled to a cash payout of up to $50. 💵
