Kellogg’s Cereals Will Be Free of Artificial Colors by the End of 2026
Kellogg’s is joining other major grocery brands in removing artificial colors and the preservative BHT from its products. In fact, the company recently announced that it’s on track to remove these ingredients from every cereal it makes by the end of 2026 – one year ahead of schedule!
Instead of artificial dyes, the cereals will now use colors from natural sources like fruit and vegetable juices and other plant-based ingredients.

Kellogg’s has already removed artificial colors from foods served in schools. Beginning in January, it also discontinued launches of new products with artificial colors.
Updated recipes for popular cereals like Froot Loops and Apple Jacks will begin production later this year, and you’ll start seeing them arrive in stores before 2027.
