Sam’s Club Cracks Down on Harmful Ingredients — Here’s What’s Changing
Sam’s Club’s Member’s Mark brand will now be free of over 40 harmful ingredients!
Need more reasons to love shopping at Sam’s Club? Reports confirm that they are nearly 96% complete towards their goal of removing artificial dyes, HFCS, aspartame, and more in all Member’s Mark products!
In the company’s words, “We aspire for 100% of our Food and Beverage products to be free from ingredients on our ‘made without’ list by 2025″ and now that we are halfway through 2025, it seems that they are making good on their promise.
Check out this extensive list of ingredients they hope to remove or replace in Member’s Mark items:
- Acesulfame-K (Acesulfame Potassium) (Ace-K)
- Aspartame
- Benzyl Alcohol
- Butylated hydroxy anisole (BHA)
- Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT)
- Certified Synthetic Colors/FD&C Colors
- Cocamide DEA
- Formaldehyde

By the end of 2025, Sam’s Club also hopes to source 100% of its coffee, tea, and cocoa as Fair Trade USA Certified or Rainforest Alliance certified, and ensure that all animal proteins meet Animal Welfare and Antibiotic Use guidelines.
As more people put healthy eating choices first, this is a much-warranted change. Hopefully, more brands follow their lead.
High fructose corn syrup is in all soft drinks (except for sugar free ones)
