Walmart’s Digital Price Tags Are Rolling Out Nationwide: What Shoppers Need to Know

Walmart just announced that new digital shelf labels have started hitting stores nationwide. So far, nearly 2,300 locations have digital labels, and all stores are expected to adopt them within the next year.
These digital price tags let employees update hundreds of thousands of prices through an app rather than swapping paper tags by hand. They also help associates restock faster and find items for online orders, so your shopping experience is smoother.
Even better for all of us shoppers, these labels are always up to date so you will always see the most accurate pricing right on the shelf, including any sales or rollbacks. That means fewer pricing errors at checkout and more confidence that you’re getting the best current deal. Awesome!
Have you seen this change in your Walmart?
This is worth the money but tap 2 pay isn’t 🙄.
I like the part about making it more convenient for workers instead of tedious paper tags. Hopefully won’t be any surge pricing though.
