Zulily Is Officially Closed | If You’ve Recently Ordered, Here’s What You Need to Know

As we shared with you earlier this month, Zulily recently announced that it will be winding down operations in the new year. Although the actual closure date of this popular online retailer was unclear from the initial announcement, the company did reveal plans to cut staff in the new year.

This news led customers to believe they would have until 2024 to use any remaining gift cards or credits. So it came as a surprise when Zulily.com abruptly shut down on December 22nd.

Now, we know that the company has officially ended operations and entered a liquidation phase known as “An Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors,” or ABC. ABC is an alternative to traditional Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.

What does Zulily’s sudden closure mean for customers?

If you placed an order with Zulily and it has already shipped, it will be delivered as planned. But if you placed an order that has yet to be fulfilled, you won’t be getting your merchandise. Unfortunately, Zulily’s customer service team is no longer available, so there is no longer any way to check your order status with them.

If you placed an order and don’t receive it by 1/22/24, it may have already been canceled and refunded. Customers who don’t receive their order or a refund by that date are encouraged to contact Zulily’s claims agent to submit a proof of claim. If you have an unused gift card or other credits from Zulily, you can also file a claim with Omni Agent Solutions.

Unfortunately for customers, the ABC process prioritizes the company’s vendors and other debtors over the needs of consumers, so there is no guarantee that you will receive the money you are owed.

The deadline to file claims is June 14th, 2024.

    Noooo I love Zulily. I’ve had to pace myself recently and don’t visit them as often so I don’t go on a weekend shopping spree, but definitely going to miss it.

    Ahhh I will surely miss them . Yes their delivery was slow but you are made aware of that and plan accordingly. Never any issues and I have gotten some marvelous items over the years from them .:( they will be missed .

    I quit using them a while ago. They were owned by QVC. They never offered free shipping and their prices were not always a bargain. Too bad…it was a great idea, but not really budget friendly for a lot of people. Shipping was slow too. I can order from lots of other places and they offer free shipping and delivery is fast!

    Doesn’t surprise me. You need an account just to see the site. That kind of gatekeeping doesn’t fly with me.

      And when I got emails about a recent login to my account despite not ordering from them in years, I had such a hard time getting my password reset and getting my account deleted altogether. I was not satisfied with customer service regarding it either, as my security concerns were totally disregarded. I’d never order from them again based on that, but I guess that problem took care of itself. I do feel bad for their employees who are now out of a job though.

    I really like Zulily. I will miss them. The shipping wasn’t fast but I didn’t mind. I liked how they had such a wide variety of products and they always have flash sales and the things that I got from there were discounted dramatically, especially when they sold uv skinz. Of course, I am sure that varied by item.

    They still have a $58 dollar credit if mine. Super slow shipping, incorrect items, sizes way off, and every time I tried using my credit, it was such a hassle I gave up. Glad to see them go. You can’t expect to run your business like they did and stay in business.

      me too… have a credit … the form to fill out is impossible… would need a lawyer to get it done1

    They owe me over $300 for returns. The link to the website doesn’t have a claim form. Only a claim withdrawal form if you want to cancel your claim. Anyone know where I can file? I’m so upset! They keep charging my card in “smart pay” installments for items I returned in November!

      Oh no! Have you been able to make contact with your financial institution to see if the purchases qualify for a dispute with them? I’ve been able to do this in the past on some purchases, and then the bank handles the dispute with the company. 🤞 Hoping this might do the trick! ❤️

    That stinks, I did not realize they were going out of business and ordered a pair of shoes that said they were eligible to exchange for another size. I have been trying to get on the website to exchange and I keep getting an error message. Any suggestions or an I SOL?

    How can we prove anything? Zulily took down their entire site all the information is gone. How can you prove you didn’t get something. I also had returns, is there a refund for items you can’t use. Zulily credit card wants the exact amount of dispute but payments were divided into three smaller amounts. It was Christmas time I don’t remember everything I ordered. What a giant pain in the butt.

    Well the refund process you need to be a lawyer to fill the paperwork out. What a ripoff , they now have $26.24 of my money which was given as a credit 87GD G79E A555 BGEB….. thats if anyone at Zulily wants to give my money back!!!!

      Same here! As I understand it,any money paid will go to their creditors. Customers shouldn’t expect to get anything. They knew of their intentions to close and should have taken care of customers first!
