This book is however more than a cookbook, with lots of insight on what ingredients to buy and why.
I LOVE the helpful grocery shopping tips that are highlighted throughout the cookbook, and the sprinkling of awesome high-quality brand recommendations that are “Bobby Approved”! I noticed a lot of their favorite brands are similar to mine, such as Rao’s marinara. Yum!

1.) 5 Ingredient Chicken Wild Fried Rice
Here’s a healthier version of fried rice using wild rice and coconut aminos teriyaki sauce as a delicious gluten-free chicken marinade! This dish had awesome flavor and was super easy to make! I am totally using wild rice whenever I can when making fried rice dishes as it was so YUM.
I also love how this recipe explains how you can cut up your own mirepoix onion, celery, and carrot mixture or grab the prechopped package at Trader Joe’s!

2.) Gluten-Free Olive Oil Lemon Cake
OMG! If you love lemon, here’s a treat that doesn’t even have granulated sugar and tastes amazing! This zesty cake is sweetened with maple syrup and even has an awesome lemon glaze poured over the top with sliced almonds. The olive oil has a very mellow and light flavor that I really enjoyed.
I went ahead and bought the Paleo baking mix Bobby recommended and it’s so awesome as a quick gluten-free baking option.
3.) Maple Glazed Carrots
These rainbow carrots are honey-glazed bites of heaven as a quick and simple side dish. They are flavored with garlic, honey, orange juice, and tarragon, and disappeared in minutes! I loved using a cast-iron skillet for this dish as the texture was blistered and so delicious!
