What’s the current status of your kitchen and bathroom hand towels?

If you’re looking to replace and replenish your hand towel linens, I highly recommend these beautiful cotton Turkish hand towels I recently discovered on Amazon.com. Better yet, they’re currently on sale for the lowest price we’ve seen!

Smyrna Original Turkish Hand Towels Set of 2 — variety of colors available
Only $15.19 (regularly $22.99)

I’m not even sure how a towel can bring so much joy, but a set of 2 of these on sale for around $15 total does it for me! 😆 It may be the definition of adulting, but getting this excited over towels is now the stage of life I am in! 😂

If it’s possible to be in love with hand towels, I definitely am!

After noticing the popularity of Turkish towels on Instagram, I started looking into them more and have been so impressed with this highly-rated Smuryna brand.  In fact, I was so impressed I ordered another pair right away, and get lots of compliments on them when friends and family use them at our house.

Important Note: I paid for these towels myself, and am such a fan that I’m now sharing a non-sponsored review on them.

Not only is the stylish modern look appealing, these Turkish towels are so high quality and nice!

I personally love how these Smyrna 100% cotton towels look hanging on my towel bar in my powder room. I have also been using them in the kitchen as hand towels.

They are sized much longer than ordinary hand towels, dry noticeably quicker than other towels, and look absolutely gorgeous when hung up with the hanging fringe. They also come in various colors. I have the gray design and love them.

Here are a few of the reasons I love Smyrna Turkish hand towels:

    • They are 100% organic cotton with fibers made in Turkey, wash up so well, and have held up great after months of constant use and washing. The absorbancy is unbelievable and dries quickly!
    • The size of these Turkish towels is much longer than ordinary hand towels and measures 16 x 40 inches. It allows you to create a beautiful scarf fold to display.
    • Beauty meets functionality here! Even though these towels are decorative, they can be useful in various places such as the bathroom, kitchen, as well as for fitness and yoga.
    • If for some reason you are not totally satisfied with this purchase, Smyrna will give you a full refund without any question in 30 days.

Curious how I accomplished this pretty way to hang hand towels? I’ll show ya, it’s easy!

This method is very similar to hanging a scarf actually, and is possible because of the longer length of these towels!

doing a scarf fold for a Turkish hand towel

Basically, the first step is to fold the towel in half. Turn it upside down, and loop it through the back of the bar or towel holder as shown above.

Then grab the tails and tuck them down and through the looped towel. Once you pull the tails through, it will have a neat-looking scarf look. I love that it won’t fall down after someone dries their hands! No more picking up hand towels off of the floor!

soap with hand towel gift basket

Smuryna Turkish towels would make an excellent gift!

You could pair them with some nice hand soap and maybe a candle as a thoughtful housewarming gift basket. This would also make a nice wedding shower gift!

Are there matching bath towels and wash cloths? I have to have all my towels match?

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

So there are lots more products from this brand https://amzn.to/3s7coPX I have not personally tried the bath towels. They look pretty neat for beach towels too.

  2. Tracey

So pretty. How does the fringe hold up when washing?

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Really well actually. The cotton gets softer and turkish towels have a more “wrinkly” or gauzy look to them. Just keep that in mind. 🙂

  3. shey59

Those would be pretty as a rv curtain lol

  4. MissJillian

Did I need them??? Noooo! But orange, really?! — yep, got em! 🥰

    • Lori

      The orange is beautiful!

      • MissJillian

Can’t wait to get them!! I love the way she tied them too!

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Enjoy! Hope you love as much as I do <3

  5. jenna-6

I’ve had a set of four (emerald green) for almost a year now. They wash well and still look new. With 5 littles they’ve definitely been tested and I’d buy them again.

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh YAY! Thanks for adding your thoughts on these 🙂

    • Allison

Thanks for your review! This is helpful! I have 6 kids and was wondering how they stand up to kids! Do the towels seem stain proof?

  6. Carrie M.

These are beautiful, but one of the reviews shows the edges fairly wavy after washing and another says not to place in the dryer. What is your experience? For $17 apiece I want to make they they are worth it. 😉

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

My experience has actually stayed intact nicely after months of use. I do throw them in with my other towels and laundry into the dryer honestly. At first I tried not to, but then just tossed all together… and these are 2 for that price! They are sold as a two pack 🙂 Hope that helps!

      • Carrie M.

I missed that it was a 2 pack. I prefer to dry my towels so that is a bonus. thank you for the recommendation!!

  7. Dee

Love this review, especially knowing this was a personal purchase. I have a wedding gift to buy and this is perfect.

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh yay they will love these 🙌 thanks Dee!

  8. siena95

Those dangly bits would drive me crazy, will be constantly collecting fuzz , dirt , and will be cut off

  9. Heidi

Something is off. Perhaps they changed the product from the one you have Lina. If you scroll down and look at the product pictures there are some that have tassels like yours but some are just knotted. The knotted ones are the towels people are complaining about in the reviews. Just be aware you may not receive the tasseled ones like Lina’s.

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh interesting. Ya if you filter to the ‘most recent’ reviews the tassles resemble mine. I got the gray color and both sets purchased recently in 2021. Hope that helps.

  10. Bunny

Hmmmm…..I’m showing $16.99 for all colors.

  11. Sara

I bought these last time you had them on here and I returned them. They shrunk up when I washed them so They wouldn’t do that cute tie thing because they weren’t long enough. Just hanging it on the towel rack wasn’t worth all that money to me. I could just use what I had. I wanted to tie it on so kids wouldn’t pull it down/off and leave it on the floor. Would be better if they were longer

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Darn sorry they didnt work out Sara!

  12. **Lisa**

I bought these in orange the last time you posted them. I love them so much I just bought some in turquoise for my kitchen. Thanks so much! $12.91 with subscribe & save. Gentle cycle wash and lay flat to dry. They still look brand new.

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh nice! Thanks for the review!

  13. Lmb

Have to try these! Thanks for the recommendation 🙂

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      sure! I love them 🙂

  14. sharon ressel

Lets take about that mirror you have???

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh it was that super cheap Ikea Ung Drill Black Wall Mirror from 5 years ago – plastic but I painted it with white chalk paint so it matched that room and looks a bit more high end. haha

  15. TS

I bought these and I don’t love them. After washing, they look wrinkled. Not nearly as attractive as yours look in the photos.

    • CJ

I did too and it looks pretty, but when I washed it, it came out so wrinkled. I almost wanted to iron it but that is too much work for a bathroom towel. I wanted to love these, but i just don’t.

      • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Darn, ya turkish towels are typically more on the wrinkled side, sorry they didn’t work out!

  16. eunderwood

Are the towels pictured new and unwashed or the ones you have had for some time and laundered?

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

sort of a mix of both because I own about 6 right now. The 7th pic down of my ring shaped towel hanger has been washed a ton of times. They wash well, yet get gauzy and more wrinkled though.
