It was super easy, and fast! Once the chairs shipped, I received shipping tracking and received them in about 5 days. Each chair and cushion was delivered in its own box right to my front door. These chairs do require assembly but we appreciated that these were fairly simple to put together, and are very sturdy.

Last Saturday morning, my husband and teen son were nice enough to put the Newport outdoor chaise lounge chairs together for me using the hardware and wrench that was provided. I’m torn. On the one hand I agree that Hip has changed a lot over the years. They used to be the place to find the hottest deals – travel size sunscreens that generate more ECBa than their cost, $0.09 boxes of pasta when you combine a BOGO with a coupon and mismarked wooden blocks that are $18 instead of $60. Now they seem to be a lifestyle blog for middle class women ages 25 to 50.
At the same time, a crazy low price doesn’t always equate to the best value. If someone was planning to upgrade their patio furniture and intends to take care of it so it lasts for years then this post could be helpful to them. And, sadly, $300 for a nice wooden lounge chair is probably not a terrible price, if that’s what you’re in the market for.
I understand, but I feel there are most-likely less deals to be had/found overall.
Well, these ladies are making lot’s more money too…when that happens it’s easier to drop $600 on set of lounge chairs. But if you are like most…you probably on a budget. If I had the money I wouldn’t hesitate to buy these chairs, they do like very nice and would be lovely to have by the pool

Interestingly, I agree. Also after years of frugal lifestyle, our family is in a position to make purchases not unlike these chairs because we have scrimped and saved to be comfortable. I think there is room for both the best deal on pasta and luxuries we save for. That said if we are purchasing a luxury, we want to love it for years and know the quality is good be it new technology, kitchen appliances, or higher end fashion.

Can anyone recommend some good quality lounge cushions at a good price? (I have lounge chairs – I just need some replacement cushions and I can’t find a good quality/good price anywhere.) Thank you!
I searched many different stores on-line & in local stores. Finally found some at the At Home store ( formally know as Garden Ridge) They also sell on-line but I wanted to be able to feel the fabric & see the stitching before I bought. They were on sale plus I had a 15% off coupon. Purchased for 4 chairs with seat & back cushions total of $250.00. These are thick cushions & oh so comfy.

Thanks for the variety of posts. I think it allows for a wider audience. I just replaced my two white plastic lounge chairs. I’d love these but we have stray cats that come around and one in particular sprays. Still trying to catch him to get him neutered. Anyway, I had to replace with the plastic so I can wash them. I can’t believe how much the quality has gone down from my first set. 🙁 Not only is the plastic thinner, the back rest is almost impossible to change positions, it’s so hard. My others had storage too. I wish I could get these. Love them! That side table is awesome. 😀

I was so happy to find Hip2Save many years when my children were younger and I was a stay at home mom with a part-time job that didn’t pay much. Finding great deals & being frugal helped keep us out of credit card debt and stretched our income for sure. Now that the kids are out of the nest and we actually have more money, I still make sure to get those deals so that I can buy those larger ticket items without using credit cards. I have been with Hip for almost ten years. Hip2Save has evolved under Collins leadership as we all do. I remember when her children were tiny, just like mine. I learned how to coupon from her and although I’m not walking out with boxes of diapers anymore, what she taught me right along with her team is that we have choices. From low end to high end. Choices. I love, love, love, these chairs. However, I am not necessarily in the market for these chairs and that’s ok.

For those of you making snide comments about them not being frugal, I’m as frugal as they come, and I’m telling you these chairs are 100% worth it. Some things in life are worth dropping a little more $ for.
I was trying to be honest not negative in my response. Truth is you make more you spend more, always. And your values will change. I spend a whole lot more money than when I first got married and on unnecessary things that I wouldn’t of dreamed of. And I’m able to give more gifts generously and I love that, but fifteen years ago we were literally counting pennies for groceries.
I love your going out on a limb for these kinds of deals!!! …yes it it a deal… Plastic lounge chairs starting price is $89 here in Fla. I had the hardest time finding new replacement chair cushions in our area. The demand was overwhelming!!! I had 3 online cancellations and almost a 4th! I never even thought to look at Big Lots because I thought they’d be thin and cheapy but I found the best thick and well made cushions at Big Lots by Jordan. Anyway, long story short I eventually got a set of 4 very cushy will made chair cushions. They are the extra large for metal swivel chairs. They had 30% off this Memorial Day weekend and I signed up online to get 15% off. The total was $76.40 for all four!
