So upsetting! It showed the coupon code worked, and then added a $48 charge for shipping on top of my order AFTER I hit submit. There is no phone number to call. I’m so mad!
i just wanted to follow up here and share that I contacted the vendor (turns out Cratejoy is just the company hosting, sort of like etsy) and the owner of the Purple Vertigo candles responded and refunded this. it was nothing she did wrong- the web experience just doesn’t mention nearly $50 in shipping until its too late. I plan to reorder a 6 month box instead.

$12. For a small 4oz. Candle. ARE YOU KIDDING ME ?!?! Especially when Yankee candle is having a sale for $9. For a 14.5oz candle, oh and B&BW is having their sale too… I am a huge supporter for small business but it also has to be even a tiny bit logical. This is not even a tiny bit logical. SMH 🙄😂
It is logical, you just might not be their target audience. Yankee Candle and B&BW have SUPER harmful ingredients in their candles – I would know as I used to work as a supplier for them. Not only are the candles in this post 100% vegan soy but they use cruelty-free fragrance oils that are phthalate-free. You’re essentially trying to compare McDonald’s patties with a Ruth’s Chris steak. Both are red meat, but beyond that, they’re nothing alike.
With all due respect I understand what you are saying but that is an outrageous price point for such a menial size. I assume their target audience is anyone who likes to burn candles and enjoy the smell and look. We also would not have even heard about them had they not sent probably multiple blog sites tons of free candles. Who doesn’t sing the praises of a product that they received tons of freebies from?
Their target audience is also someone who would be willing to pay more to get a more natural candle. Candles, like everything else run the whole gamut of prices. If you do a search for more higher end candles or more natural candles, you’ll find their prices are not that high.
I would rather open a much bigger Yankee Candle candle as a gift than these little guys. To each his own. Merry Christmas! 🕯️
