Our Team Loves These Cheap Women’s Skinny Jeans More Than Designer Brands
Need a staple piece of denim?
Finding a great pair of jeans is no easy task for most women. But come to find out, a lot of the ladies on our team have fallen in love with some pretty incredible pairs. The best part? None of them break the bank and we actually prefer these cheap jeans over our designer brands that once cost us a small fortune! 🙌
So whether you’re petite or plus-size or a size zero or 18, we’ve got you covered, literally!
Here are 4 of our team-fave, most affordable, tried-and-true jeans you’ll absolutely love… yes, even more than your designer denim. 😏
1. Tiffany’s favorite jeans: Universal Thread
These jeggings are designed to look like real jeans but are way more comfortable! Not only are they available in a wide range of sizes (from 00-18) but they also come in long or short lengths for the perfect fit. Plus, you can shop with confidence as they fit true to size.
Here’s what Tiffany had to say about these jeans:
“I LOVE these jeans from Target! For one, they are super budget-friendly. Plus, they feel so high quality without the huge price tag. Secondly, I’m on the curvier side and I feel like these are magic jeans that fit JUST right. They have the perfect amount of stretch, yet they hug your curves in a flattering way. I have pretty much every wash and design they offer! You won’t regret owning every pair of these, I promise!”
Even Amber from the team agrees:
“I love the Universal Thread Jeggings from Target! I have about 4 pairs and they’re mostly all I ever wear! I absolutely love the fit!”
2. Lina’s favorite jeans: Signature by Levi Strauss & Co.
No buttons, no problems! When you can easily slip on your jeans, you know it’s going to be a great day! And Lina isn’t the only one that’s obsessed with these because they’re rated as a #1 best seller on Amazon, too! 👏You don’t have to stress about not shopping them in the store as they fit true to size.
Here’s what Lina had to say about her jeans:
“I basically live in these jeans! They’re so comfy because they PULL-ON! Meaning NO BUTTONS! LOL! I like that they have some stretch, but also have good support in the stomach and backside areas. They look like a fancy, expensive pair of jeans, but are so affordable and so comfortable to wear all day! Plus – the denim color goes with just about anything!”
3. Sara’s favorite jeans: Amazon Essentials
Amazon Essentials – Women’s Skinny Jean $28.50 or less
The team already shared these jeans in our Sisterhood of the Traveling pants post (which I highly recommend checking out), but I had to mention them again and make sure that they made this list. They’re still an absolute favorite around here, even months later!
These jeans are a closet staple for me and, believe it or not, I have found myself reaching for them more than the expensive designer jeans I used to adore. I always feel so put together in these jeans and even with countless wears and washings, they still have their dark, rich color.
Not only that but they fit just perfect (true-to-size no less!) and they never lose their shape or fit—that means I never spend time pulling them up or being uncomfortable during the day. When I finally do wear out this pair, I’ll be buying another one ASAP!
You can actually try these jeans before you buy them! With Amazon Prime Wardrobe, you won’t get charged unless you actually keep the items you pick. Plus, you get 7 whole days to try them out and decide if they’re the perfect jeans for you. It’s a win, win!
4. Michelle’s favorite jeans: Time and Tru
Show off a little ankle with these popular true-to-size fitted jeans! While the color of Michelle’s is currently limited, there are three other colors to choose from. Plus, if those don’t suit your needs, she found a similar pair from the same Walmart brand she loves just as much…and they’re even less!
Here’s what Michelle had to share about her favorite jeans:
“These are seriously my favorite jeans that are in my closet right now! They suck me in where I need them to and are still super comfortable—it doesn’t even feel like I’m actually wearing jeans. I’ve washed them hundreds of times and they are still in perfect condition!”
Old navy rockstar jeans also pretty awesome- thx for posting so many affordable options!
Yes!! Just tried these and I love them!!
You’re welcome, CM! My daughter loves those too! Thanks for the suggestion!
I love Gap jeans, any jean from them, they’re always on sale.. and the Old Navy Rockstar jeans are great and also very affordable when on sale.
Agree, agree–I also love the Universal thread and Time & True. They are good looking, durable and inexpensive. What’s not to like. Especially like the high-rise (no muffin top, no sagging). Good job girls!
I tried the amazon jeans the last time they were posted. Not a good fit, had to send the back. Very tight like jeggings and not an attractive cut unless you are very thin. Universal thread is great though!
Darn! SO sorry to hear that. Thanks a bunch for the honest feedback! We sure appreciate it!
I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t like them @gray757! Hopefully one of our other team recommendations will be a perfect fit for you!
Anyone have any tips for someone with a an extremely big booty. I love skinny jeans but seems every pair I buy they assume because I have a big booty I have big ankles too. They always end up looking like more of straight leg at the bottom. I have to sew every pair.
I love Jennifer Lopez and juicy couture jeans from Kohl’s.
I Like Democracy brand jeans, I have a bigger booty and their jeans stay in at the waist and are skinny at the ankle. I can find them for about $30 at Sierra Trading Post. They are more on amazon.
American eagle, curvy jeans! I recommend you read the comments to see if you need to size down 😁
H&M has great $19.99 options. I buy most of my jeans there. My 22 year old daughter even converted from the more pricey, label conscious brands.
How cool! Thanks for the helpful tip! I’ll have to check for those too!
Love, love, lovr time and tru jeans. I would have never tried them until I saw a post on here a few months back. Thank you!
Where did Tiffany get those cute leopard print shoes?
Hi Rachel! I’m loving those too! She just let me know that she scored them from Walmart for just $10! They are the Time and Tru Brand. You can find a similar option over here.
my favorite are old navy and they r cheap!
I am a big Universal Thread highrise skinny fan, but after a a short time of wear they start falling down and I spend all day pulling them back up. I had accepted this as being normal but your comment about the Amazon jeans has me curious. I would LOVE jeans I don’t have to pull up every time I move. I’ve been spoiled by UT’s $10-15 price tag, but it sounds like a splurge might be worth it. Thanks for the thorough review!
I too am now pulling up my 2 pairs of Universal Thread jeans. Loved them initially. Converted to St Johns Bay skinny from Penney’s now
If you have the Levi’s, do they squeeze your legs? It’s hard to find skinny ones that don’t, but it’s uncomfortable for me (and I have pretty thin legs).
I have the worst luck finding skinny jeans that fit my ankles. I just have naturally thinking ankles even weighting 115 my ankles are literally the size of my 60 lb daughters 😑
Time and Tru fit great but the ankles are loose on me so I cuff them. Have yet to find a pair that hug my ankles.
No, they are amazing and I want them now in every color
No they are comfortable at ankles n knees
I can’t wait to try the jeans Tiffany has on. Our body shapes are VERY similar. Thank you so much. All you ladies look absolutely beautiful. Keep up the great work you do for us all.
Tiffany is totally rocking her jeans! I hope you love your new pair, J.H., thanks for sharing such a sweet comment!
Love old navy rockstar jeggings with stretchy waistband!!!
I love my Time & True jeans. So comfy. So affordable that I bought several pairs.
I get compliments on my Time & Tru all the time, and from much younger women. Makes me feel great.
That is so awesome to hear, Dee! It’s a great feeling to have a pair of jeans that fit so well!
Um you all look gorgeous!😍 Definitely going to try a couple of these, thanks!
We hope you love your new jeans, Rebecca! Thanks for leaving such a sweet comment for the team!
I shop mostly I thrift stores….you can get really nice pair of trousers for as little as $4
Can you add the colors/washes the girls are wearing? Thank you.
Hey Khera! Each link should take you to the jeans that each of us are wearing! I hope this helps, have a great day!
I bought a pair of vince camuto at the local goodwill for 5.25…..and I really love them. The best pair of skinny jeans I have ever had.
What a great score, Sue! Thanks for sharing!
Love Vince Camuto!!! Great score!
I went from buying Paige jeans from Nordstrom to only Universal Threads at Target! Absolutely love them! After having my daughter, it’s hard to find jeans that fit me in all the right places. Aside from Paige, Univeral Threads is the only jeans that fit me perfectly, and doesn’t shrink OR stretch after washing! I’ll still splurge on Paige jeans, but my closet is still with all things Universal Threads 🙂
I’ll have to check into these! And thanks for representing different shapes and sizes beautiful ladies!!
You are so welcome, Lesli!
Tried n kept the levis n time n tru! Thanks for the reccomendations😍
We’re so glad you found this post to be so helpful, Luna! We hope you love your new jeans!
Wow, it is really helpful, I need to buy them
We’re so happy to hear this post was so helpful, Clairelee! Let us know what you decide to get!
Are the exact jeans Tiffany has on somewhere on the website still? I can’t find them. I love this wash!!
