Here’s what the team and I had to say about our Amazon jeans:

1. Sara’s experience

My chief complaint when looking for the perfect jeans: They’re always too short or loose in the back since I’m not super curvy on the bottom.

Here’s what I said about these Amazon jeans:

“These jeans are SO good! I’m probably the pickiest person ever when it comes to jeans so I didn’t have very high hopes for ordering jeans from a brand I never tried online. BUT – I’m so happy I did!

Not only did they fit perfectly but the length was on point and the dark wash is so nicely done. It looks like a high-end pair of denim in my opinion. I also like that they stretch a little (but not too much) so sitting is comfortable and the fabric isn’t too thick that I feel sweaty after wearing them all day. I feel like I need all of the colors now!”

*Sara is 5’5″ and wearing a size 0 regular, which is her normal size.

2. Michelle’s experience

woman sitting crossed legged with skinny jeans

Michelle’s chief complaint when looking for the perfect jeans: She’s tall and curvy, so most jeans are way too short and don’t fit right for her curves.

Here’s what she said about her Amazon jeans:

“It’s pretty hard for me to shop for jeans that fit my body type, so I was skeptical about ordering some online. I’m 6 feet tall and curvy so everything is either too short or shows way too much of my curves.

After trying these jeans, I am totally won over though! They’re stretchy and really flattering on me! Best of all, they come in long sizes and I’m pleased to say that they were actually perfect for my long legs!”

Hip Tip from Michelle: She says that she would suggest ordering a size up if you are curvy.

*Michelle is 6’0″ and wearing a size 18 long, which fits her perfectly. She normally wears a size 16 long.

3. Lina’s experience

Lina’s chief complaint when looking for the perfect jeans: She’s on the shorter side and curvy so jeans either don’t fit comfortably or are too long for her legs.

Here’s what she said about her Amazon jeans:

“I typically love to wear jeggings because they’re more comfortable for me, but these Amazon jeans are so stretchy and comfy – it literally feels like my favorite jeggings!

They are soft and I love the look of the dark wash, they really can go with anything! I’m excited to wear these this fall and think the quality is great and that they’ll hold up really well!”

*Lina is 5’3″ and wearing a size 18 short, which fits her perfectly. Her regular size is 16 short, so she also recommends sizing up if you are curvy.

    Giving them a try! 🤞🏻🙂

    • Sara

I love it, Amy! I hope you love them as much as we do!

    • jacky

      thanks! i musta missed that!

  2. Jill

Thanks ladies! Thanks for being honest in your sizes and showing us. I am not a fan of buying clothes anywhere online. Because you never know what you’re getting and it can be a hassle to return.

  3. Denise

I wish these came in a bootcut version. I wear braces on the lower half of my legs and a skinny Jean just highlights that area of my leg, which I do not want. I’ve had a lot of issues buying clothes on Amazon.. the quality isn’t there imo…

    • Wren

I’m 36 and I still love the “old school” bootcut! I guess I’m officially old and no longer cool!

      • Marie

Same here!! I’m 36 too and only like bootcut, can’t bring myself to skinny jeans unless they’re with tall boots

      • nikis22

I love bootcut I hate skinny jeans

        • jayceealexisfinicum

I’m 23, and I only wear skinny jeans and bootcut. I love them both!

      • tracey

38 years old and hate skinny jeans! It’s like neon spandex from the 80s that just needed to die!

    • tavery313

Me, too. I am 47 and have tried skinny and straight. Don’t like either. Searched on Amazon and they have Essentials Slim Bootcut, $31.15. Defintiely going to give these a try.

    • Susan

I just bought a pair of bootcut, same amazon brand!!

    • Susan

I linked the bootcut below, they’re great

    • Heather

I get the curvy bootcut jeans from Old Navy, fashion be darned. I hate skinny jeans, too!

  4. Mamabear

What color are Sara’s jeans? Also, they look loose in the ankle on Amazon but they don’t on Sara. Were they loose in the ankle or tight on anyone else who tried them? Thanks!

    • Sara

Hey Mamabear! I’m wearing the dark wash – just like Lina and Michelle. (Our different lighting in the pictures may make them look slightly different, but we all ordered the same wash.) 😊Also, I don’t think this skinny jean was as tight in the ankle as most of my other skinny jeans.

  5. Mamabear

Also, were Sara’s long or average? I am 5’4″ and i like how they fit her in length in the photo.

    • jaksmom8

It says Sara is wearing regular (average) length and they are the dark wash.

    • Sara

I’m wearing size 0 regular (average) If you’re 5’4″ I may even consider getting the short. I hope this is all helpful!

  6. tobey

Thank you for tour “dare to share” comments! I am going to give these a try. I am curvy and have a hard time with jeans. Your team is the BEST!!!!!

    • Michelle (Hip Sidekick)

I think you’ll really like these! The stretchiness makes them fit good everywhere.

  7. Christy

Any feedback on if the dark wash left your fingertips or legs stained with blue? I love the dark look but have had to return a few pairs because of the dye.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Great Question! Here are the answer that gals gave:

Sara said, “I’ve worn mine a few times and have not had any issues at all! I would recommend washing them by themselves the first couple of times because they’re very dark, but I haven’t had any dye on my skin or other clothes at all! They haven’t even rubbed off around the ankle on my suede booties, which has normally always happened to me in the past! ”

Michelle said, “I did have an issue withe the blue coming off on my hands the first time I wore them. But I’ve washed them and it did not do it the second time around.”

  8. nikis22

If these came in bootcut I would be sold, I hate skinny jeans.

  9. jencor2

I love kohls sonoma jeans but I got a size 20 in style 73277 and they are too big. Are these similar to those? Does anyone know if kohls will bring back that style number at kohls?

  10. cpnkay

What do you think the difference is between the “dark wash” and “rinse”? They look so similar.

  11. Sarah

Since the jeans have stretch in them did they become loose in the waist even if it took more than eight hours? That is my biggest problem with jeans they eventually become too loose in the waist and then I spend the rest of the day hiking them up.

    • Michelle (Hip Sidekick)

I didn’t have issues with that at all, but I’ve only worn them three times. Maybe as they get older that will be an issue, but they really wash up nice.

  12. Shannon M.

I am going to give them a try. These sound just like the Levi Denizen Jean’s I found at Target for $27.99. Stretchy. bootcut, regular or long. I wear the 18 long, 5’8 and 220 lbs after my recent baby. Who would of thought I could get back into my jeans within a month! If you are on the fence look these up too, give them a try. I ordered 4 new pairs and have NEVER ever been able to order jeans online. That’s just how good they are.

  13. marivanpelt

Question, do you have “saggy butt” at the end of the day from the stretch? That drives me crazy!

    • Michelle (Hip Sidekick)

I didn’t have any problems with that!

  14. patgriffith

Skinny jeans are not for those of us with fat knees, maybe I’m the only one with that problem. Anything tight in the knees hurts! I hope the style changes before my old jeans wear out.

  15. Momto2

I got my jeans yesterday. I loved the medium rinse and the softness of the material. I am going to have to return them however because my usual size 14 felt too tight.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

      Thanks for the feedback, Momto2!

  16. Kathy

So glad I tried these!! Ordered a 14 short, my normal size is a 12 short. The waist and thigh area fit great and the length is prefect. Love the color (rinse). I can never ever wear a skinny jean because I m very curvy, but these work!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Nice! I’m curvy, so your recommendation convinced me to get them. Thanks, Kathy!

  17. Michelle

Another vote for bootcut. I don’t even bother with skinny jeans. Dark wash, yes.

  18. jacky

anybody know the difference in the inseam between the regular and long. between brands i can go different ways

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

This is what it says on the page, “Short inseam measures 27″; regular inseam measures 29″; long inseam measures 31”

  19. Olgraygirl

Another winner from this team!! I love skinny jeans, but not too-tight skinny. It sounds like the consensus is to order a size up for a “loose-skinny” fit. Can’t wait to try–ordering mine now!!

  20. Sharon

Did your tops come from Amazon too? I love the white with hearts; and the red one. They both look like they are long enough.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Sharon! I’m loving their tops too! Michelle grabbed hers from Marshalls and Lina scored hers at TJMaxx! 😊
