Do these mattresses have fiberglass that’s used as their fire retardant layers?
Hi there! According to Novilla, their mattresses do not contain fiberglass material. They use Fire-Retardent Cotton. Their mattresses meet the requirements of 16 CFR Part 1633 (federal flammability (open flame) standard for the mattress sets) when used without a foundation, and meet the requirements of 16 CFR Part 1632 (Char length ≤ 2 inch in any direction of any cigarette).

what is the mattress like without the topper?
Hi Ashley! I’ve been using both the mattress and the topper together but before I laid the topper on the mattress, I really loved the feeling of it. It’s like a medium density, but becomes a bit more firm with the addition of the topper. If you’re thinking you’re going to want a little more support though without buying a topper, I would check out their 12″ line!

Hi there! This is a 2-part response since I have photos of two mattresses in the post. My first one was a steal in my opinion from Home Depot. You can find it here.
I really love it and thought it was such a great frame, especially for the price. If you do purchase it, definitely don’t skip the step on screwing the platform slats into the side rails. I did initially and some of them slipped through, but then it was way more solid once I screwed them in.
The second one I spotted at a warehouse sale (like one of those places that buy inventory trucks and resell them) and I fell in LOVE! The headboard and fabric were so pretty and I wanted to give my new mattress a new frame lol! (My original one has a new home in my guest room, since I still needed a frame there 😄) But even though I bought it in person, I was able to find it online from Costco. I paid only $200 for mine (there were a few missing parts which was why I got it for a deal) but it’s sooooo nice!

Was all ready to get this for my daughter, but “The Sleep Foundation”, whose recommendation is prominently featured, advises this for people who are 230 lbs or less. My daughter is around 200 lbs, and I prefer any “weight limit” to be much higher before I purchase something.
That’s hardly relevant to her recommending the mattress.
Amd still, that’s a 30lb difference, I surely hope fear of a substantial weight gain would prevent a good night sleep. She would probably sleep much better

Hi there! Another brand I’ve tried was Vibe from Amazon. It’s actually the one I replaced with the Novilla! However, I did find I would get rather warm with that mattress which prompted the replacement, though I ended up moving the Vibe mattress to another room.

If you are looking for a comfortable camping mattress. we ordered from Amazon the Millard trifold 6 inch memory foam mattress and it is super comfortable. It folds for easy storage and you can purchase the protection bag separately. Honestly it’s more comfortable than my regular mattress. Comes in twin double or queen size. This would be great for a guest sleepover or camping

Where do you find sheets that fit over the mattress and the mattress topper? I already have deep pocket sheets and there is no way they wold fit over the topper. Suggestions?

I do not buy fitted sheets. I only use flat sheets and tuck them under mattress. I find that fitted sheets seem to shift and move making bedding uncomfortable
Forgot to mention if using flat sheets only make sure to go up in size for instance if you own the double mattress buy queen flat sheets so you have enough sheet to tuck under mattress
Hi there! I haven’t had an issue with any of my current sheets not fitting. When buying a new set, look for ones that can fit mattresses 14″ deep and those should work!

Your link to the sleep foundation actually links to the novilla site. When I went directly to the sleep foundation’s website, this mattress was nowhere in their top ratings. Can you post a link to where you saw this mattress in their top ratings?

Thank you for all the great great deals BUT here is a Bad one……I searched in the hip2save search bar for a reviewed mattress and came upon Melindas review. I bought 2 mattresses and was thrilled to see they have a 100 day trial period of like it or your money back. WELL READ THIS BEFORE YOU PURCHASE ….I have been emailing back and forth for over 1 month with this company for they DO NO ANSWER THE PHONE EVER! I am emailing a person in China who keeps saying don’t worry she is here to help….well FIRST they offered a free topper for the hard as floor mattress (one mind you I bought 2) I declined …Second they offered 30% refund to PayPal? I paid Amex…. for it will be such a hassle for them to come get the mattress….I declined…Thirdly they offer 60% refund to PayPal? I paid Amex so very odd indeed…I declined and now they have GHOSTED ME COMPLETELY! CAN YOU BELIVE THIS COMPANY!!!!! Now I have started a dispute with AMEX….ANYONE ELSE?
