Whoever thought of combining a brush and blow dryer is a GENIUS!

For many years I have been blow drying my hair using a large round brush and separate blow dryer. It can take a while because I have thick hair and can definitely be a bit of a chore, so I only spent time doing this maybe a couple of times a week.

My parents bought me the Revlon styler for Christmas, and I have been using it ever since! I’m in love! 😍 It’s so easy to use straight out of the box, and I am so impressed with how well it works!

Current price on Amazon:

Revlon One Step Hair Dryer & Volumizer $39.99 (regularly $59.99)

Blow dries, straightens, and adds tons of volume!

Well, the Revlon styler is not only faster than using my blow dryer, but it also adds tons of great volume and I love the fabulous result afterward. I have wavy thick hair, and this tool gets my hair straight and super shiny just like when getting a salon blowout. I love how soft it feels after and there’s no frizz at all.

This tool also replaces the need for a straightener on my hair as well!

Here are a few of the reasons why I LOVE the Revlon all-in-one styler:

    • It has three different heat speed settings and also a cool option for flexibility.
    • Unlike conventional hair dryers, this volumizer/brush can be placed closer to the scalp which is why it produces such amazing lift and volume.
    • The Revlon styler has a 4-year warranty, and the ceramic coating prevents over-styling and evenly distributes heat.
    • It’s space-saving for storage and for travel by replacing a round brush, blow dryer, and even straightener!
    • It’s also pretty affordable at around $30-$50 depending on the retailer and various sales we have been seeing!

Don’t just take my word for it! Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer is a Hip2Save team favorite beauty tool as well!

“Who needs a blow dryer when you have this AMAZING tool! Seriously, I love this so much! I use this baby right when I get out of the shower. I can replace my blow dryer, curling iron, AND straightener. It gives me the big southern hair vibes I am always shooting for! Point of this rambling… buy it, you won’t be disappointed.” – Amber

“OBSESSED with the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer! I have super super thick hair. Blow drying normally takes me about 45 minutes and then I have to flat iron or I look like a straight hair poodle. With this, I can blow dry my whole head in under 20 minutes and truly do not need a flat iron at all. I love it so much I bought my mom one who has hair like me and had the same routine. My only complaint is that it’s kinda heavy.”Alana

“I’m a busy mom of five and don’t often take time to style my hair, but this is a tool I highly recommend and have gifted multiple times! I love it so much that when I saw the lighter-weight titanium max edition available at Costco, I snatched that one up too. My absolutely favorite thing is how quick it takes to dry my hair, but the fact that it adds oodles of volume is a huge bonus! My hair is about mid-length and stick-straight; it takes less than 10 minutes to dry my whole head of hair AND style. I’ve used this on my nieces with 3C and 4B curl types, and it worked great too!”Stacy

This blow dryer brush changed my life. I have thin, fine hair and it never holds volume no matter what I try. I read hundreds of reviews and thought this is the real deal. The first time I tried this I couldn’t believe how much ‘oomph’ my hair had. But… would it hold past five minutes? It did and I’ve been using it daily ever since. I cannot recommend it enough! – Irene

“My daughter is bi-racial and has very, very curly ringlets and this tool is the only thing she uses when she wants to straighten her hair. It makes it easy for her because she doesn’t have to hold a blowdryer and a round brush. Life-changer!” – Michelle

“I love this volumizer because it literally dries and straightens my hair at the same time! I used to blow dry my hair for a good 20 minutes and then straighten it for another 20 minutes. It has definitely cut the time I spend on my hair in half and my hair looks so much better after using it – smoother, shinier, straighter! Love, love, love it!!” – Erica

I’ve had this for about a year and a half now and I’ve tried to love it but I can’t. I’ve watched so many YouTube videos on it but in the end it just does not work for me. It leaves me hear flat and lifeless. I might get a slight curl under at the end of my hair from it but even that only lasts about 10 mins. What I want from this is a volumized straightened effect that I curl under at the ends or curl back. Simple. Instead I get stringy lifeless hair. My hair takes and holds curl so easy from so many products. It has crazy volume usually. I have naturally 2B hair. I consider myself pretty skilled with hair tools and styling. I generally get this effect with a blow dryer and hair brush without issues. I just thought one tool would be easier to hold. I was wrong.

    • ann

I have the same experience! It does dry my hair fast, but other than that there is no added volume that I was hoping for that everybody is raving about but right opposite – my hair looks flat within an hour or so.

      • MandyMable8

Same. Doesn’t work for my very curly hair

    • Joni

Me too. I have thick hair but want an easier way to straighten it. It doesn’t dry my hair. I have to use a regular dryer either before or after I use it which to me defeats the purpose. I still have to use a straightener. It does work on my daughters hair which is curlier than mine but is more fine than my thick coarse hair.

I got this and I Love it.Dries my hair fast and super easy

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Thanks Dee! I agree it’s fast 🙌👍

  3. Firecracker83

My husband bought me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. I am normally the lazy Mom who lets her hair air dry and it ends up looking dull and flat with no body. Getting this blowdryer changed my life! Takes me literally 8 minutes to dry my hair now and it looks amazing. I have long thick hair almost to my butt and it seriously takes no time at all to dry it.

    • ssqfan88

I was going to ask if it worked on long hair! Mine is about the same length.

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Wow that’s quick! 🙌

  4. Carie

I just used mine for the first time last night and I ended up with ridiculous static. I don’t experience that with my regular dryer. Anyone else have this problem? If so; did you find a solution?

    • Erin

You might be overdrying your hair. I have superfine hair but a lot of it and I usually get terrible static in winter. After reading your post, I realize I haven’t, but I leave mine slightly damp, which is easy because I don’t have the patience to wait that long, lol!

  5. Michele

I absolutely LOVE this tool! Normally I do not take the time to blow dry my thick, wavy hair. But this enables me to do so quickly and easily!

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Yay! Thanks for sharing!

  6. julie

I had this product. Still prefer a regular hair dryer. It didn’t give me the curl at the end like I was hoping. Be careful to not wrap too much hair up as it will get caught.

  7. JenK

We currently have 4, One for me, My 13 year old, My 10 year old, and one in the camper. This is a game changer for my life. I have natural long curly hair and I can wash my hair and blow dry it with this brush and do minimal work with a flat iron. What would take me more then an hour takes me less then 20 minutes now. My girls love it because its so easy for them to use and they now can dry their own hair after showers giving me more time to do things around the house. We will not use anything else.

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks Jen for sharing! Yep, I may have to grab my daughter one too as she uses mine. Ha

    • CJ

I also have one for me, one for my daughter and one in my travel bags so I never have to vacation without it! 👩‍🦳

  8. Anne

I have a problem with my hair falling out. I would not recommend this hair styler if your hair is more brittle, or comes out easily, as the tension you have to apply to your hair to use this, will result in your hair getting pulled out. I did get some decent results, but the brush was full of hair, which I would always have to clean out after. I wish there was “gentler” solution, so you’re not tugging at your hair so much with this product.

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Thanks Anne! Great point.

  9. Anne

Just FYI- it says it’s excluded from coupons a bed and bath 😩 I just tried to buy it!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Anne! The mint color option is not excluded. I was just able to apply the coupon to that one at checkout. Hope that helps!

      • ChefZurlo

Does not work on the mint either. I just tried.

        • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

You’re right! That one now has the detail “excluded from coupons” listed on the product page. Thanks for the heads up!

  10. alexandranigrelli

I have a lot of thick hair and this brush is amazing for it. It used to take me 40 min to blow dry my hair and now it takes me 13 min. I also use a blow dry accelerator spray by bumble and bumble to achieve the quick dry time. This combo changed my life!

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Wow ya that’s quite a difference! Thanks so much for sharing!

  11. Laura

I love this brush however I do warn it does get too hot. I have longer hair than hers (sorry I forget your name I know its something with an L:) It makes your hair shiny, non frizzy, volumized and styled. But I noticed after about 6 weeks of using it I went to my salon to get my greys covered and highlighted and she asked if I’ve been wearing my hair up a lot lately as I had a lot of breakage. I never wear my hair up, ever, my face is too fat for that, hahaha! We figured out it was my Revlon brush that was doing this. I use a thermal spray to help but it still had obvious damage. I usually wait to use it until my hair is 80% dry so I don’t over use it on a hot setting. I’m on the lookout for one with a temperature setting so I can make sure that doesn’t happen again. For now I don’t use it as often.

    • Laura

I think I’ll add this tidbit in case it helps people that have had trouble with it not making your hair have volume, etc. You want to use this just as you would a hair dryer, you want to separate your hair in smaller sections and dry it with the brush and then move on to the next section. I typically split my underneath hair from my top layer. Then the bottom layer I usually have 4 sections and the top portion of my hair about 6-8 sections. So you still have to style your hair a bit when you use it to achieve salon styled hair but it goes by really quick which is nice.

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh good point. Thanks for sharing. I only wash my hair once maybe twice a week. That’s a good tip to be careful on heat.

      • Dee

I use the cool setting. It takes a little longer but not heat

    • Gigi

I hardly used mine and also have had breakage. I think it is the tension.

Look on Amazon for the non-“brand” versions. I bought my knock off brand one over a year ago. Its just as good. Last I looked it was $19.99 on Amazon a few weeks ago. You absolutely donʻt have to buy Revlon brand.

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh good to know! Thanks CW.

  13. Laura

So I have had this for over a year and half of the bristles on one side have fallen off. I am looking at upgrading to a DryBar but need to read more reviews. Anyone have a DryBar? Likes or dislikes?

    • Aimee

I have the Hot Tools brand, and I love it! I’ve had NO problems in the last year I’ve had it.

  14. Karley

100% love it. Best Christmas present!!!

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Yes! I agree! Thanks Karley!

  15. Bjones81

I just started using mine this week. Absolutely LOVE IT!!! I have shorter hair (a few inches below my ears) and it works great. Highly highly highly recommend!!!

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Awesome! Thanks so much for sharing!

  16. everybodyluvsmonkeys

I’m in the market to get another one of these for my daughters. I don’t feel it replaces any other tools but I would say I may use other tools shorter if that makes sense. I still use a hair dryer to mostly dry my hair because this would take too long to completely dry my hair. But it definitely beats using a separate brush and dryer to get volume and the look I want.

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Thanks for sharing!

So I just got this and have used it once. It did the job better than my dyson. It gave my chin length hair volume and bounce. However the next day my forearm was so sore from using the tool. Am I the only one to experience this? It was the type of sore which kinda makes me not want to use it again

    • Lori

Yes i experienced quite a bit of soreness the first few times i used mine. I still have a little soreness occasionally after using it but i have arthritis so that’s not really unusual for me.

  18. Jennifer Lisa

I have the TIGI version and it’s amazing. Saves so much time and since I’m currently a stay at home, full-time working toddler mom, that’s important.

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

YES!! That’s fun to hear! Thanks for sharing!

  19. Nicole

I got this on clearance for $24 at Walmart after Christmas. It was the “holiday” version and I absolutely love it. I also got the Dyson airwrap for Christmas and I returned my airwrap and kept this. It dries my hair quickly and it makes it voluminous and shiny. Also much easier to use than the dyson. I tell everybody about the Revlon and want to gift it to all the ladies in my life!

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Awesome! Thanks for sharing!

  20. LadyJRod

I just purchased one about a month ago after my stylist used one to get around the “no blow dryers” due to Covid rule. I LOVE IT. Eliminates the blow dryer. Eliminates the straightener. Does it all in one in a fraction of the time. I have moderately thick hair and allow it to air dry for about 10-15 minutes after my shower, before utilizing this blow-dryer-styling-brush. That seems to work really well.

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Nice! Thanks for sharing your method!

  21. Gigi

I like how quickly it dries my hair but it is super loud. It does straight great but I wish there was a similar dryer that gave a little more body and curl on the ends. Any ideas?

  22. Krys

I’ve had it for a while and liked how fast it dried my hair, but my cons have outweighed the pros over time. My roots never get completely dry, it doesn’t do much more than a round brush and I get extremely hot using it. I’m the person who has to dry my hair with the window up or a fan blowing with a regular hair dryer because I’ll break a sweat. This thing makes me feel like I need another shower when I’m done. I wish I had the same experience as others,

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh darn. Thanks for sharing you’re experience!

  23. Momofgirls

I got one for my daughter but I kind of took over it ;)) my hair was always very flat and dull. Now after using this brush I actually have volume!! I love it!

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Lol yes 🙌 Thanks for sharing!

  24. Melissa

I just got one for Christmas and I LOVE IT. I have wavy / frizzy hair. I did have to dry it in sections, but when I was done, there was no frizz at all and it was straight. It was much easier than trying to blow dry with a brush and then straighten- which always leaves some static in my hair.

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Thanks for sharing!

  25. Susan

I have long, thick, wavy hair and this works like a charm for me! I look like I paid to get a blowout after about 15 minutes of use. Love it!

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Awesome- thanks for sharing your experience!
