Sprayway Glass Cleaner Is The BEST EVER and It’s CRAZY Cheap Too!
Sprayway glass cleaner is the best performing streak-free foam cleaner I’ve used… and you’ll be shocked at the price!
Get your glass & mirrors sparkling clean with this easy cleaning tip!
I recently rediscovered this old-school glass cleaner and forgot how much I love it because it works ten times better than the blue liquid kind (you know the brand I’m talking about 😂) on glass surfaces.
I am pretty obsessed with Sprayway foam cleaner because of how well it performs by cutting through grime and leaving a magical streak-free shine on my windows, mirrors, counters, and even appliances.
Heads up, I’m about to dive into a love letter to Sprayway cleaner, but know that this post is not sponsored! I just love sharing product recommendations with you all when I’m a true fan of something.
At around $2 a can, this stuff is a nice value and lasts a really long time. Just remember, a little goes a long way so you don’t need to use a ton! I keep a bottle and a microfiber rag under each sink around the house for quick and easy cleanups during the week.
Sprayway has been around since 1947, and is the gold standard in glass cleaner!
In the 90s, my parents had a bunch of glass coffee tables, tabletops, and sliding glass windows and they would use Sprayway to clean all the time. For me, the smell of Sprayway is nostalgic, reminds me of my childhood, and to me, just smells clean.
I personally enjoy the scent, but if you prefer unscented or more natural cleaning products, this cleaner may not be for you, and I totally understand that!
Having this much love for glass cleaner is pretty much the definition of adulting! 😂
This is definitely in one of my top 5 cleaning products along with my Scrub Daddy, Fels-Naptha laundry bar, and Dawn Powerwash dish spray soap. It’s safe to say this is a must-have cleaning product for me because it’s so effective and almost even fun to use, dare I say!
Sprayway’s foam clings to surfaces and breaks down any dirt or grease without dripping, running, or streaking. The ammonia-free formula cleans thoroughly, dries quickly, and leaves surfaces sparkling. Just spray on and wipe off to remove fingerprints, dust, watermarks, and other common household messes.
You can use paper towels, but I personally find that using Sprayway with microfiber cloths is the best. My favorite right now are these awesome Zap cleaning cloths we have reviewed before! I still have them and use them often when cleaning.
Our sliding glass door where the dogs do their nose art is an uphill battle to keep clean, but Sprayway cleans these smudges and dirt up easily and quickly without any streaks at all! It gets windows so clean (until the dogs inevitably rub their noses on it again 🐶).
Where can I buy Sprayway glass cleaner?
You can grab it from just about any big box retailer like Walmart and Target, and even on Amazon (yet I find it very overpriced there). I buy the 4 pack for just $7.89 at my Costco and this will last you a long time! I know Sam’s Club has it also.
Just note that the packaging design and sizes can be slightly different. For instance, the can from Costco is a few ounces larger, has a different design on the can, but seems to be the same ingredients.
Look for Sprayway glass clear at these retailers:
My teammate Stacy loves Sprayway cleaner too! Here’s what she had to say:
“This is the only glass cleaner I buy now. It foams up when you spray so it’s easy to see where you have already cleaned, and it leaves absolutely no streaks. It is the best glass cleaner – period.”
I agree this really is the “World’s Best Glass Cleaner”!
If you’ve been disappointed by window cleaners like Windex, I’d encourage you to give this one a try. I use it in my kitchen, in the bathrooms, and even in my car to clean up fingerprints and dog nose smudges on those windows too!
Come see what other products our teammates have tried and recommend!
Good to know that this is ammonia-free and it is a foam cleaner. Liquid cleaners when you spray in on a glass door, it will trickle down before you’re even able to start wiping the glass door, creating a mess.
Yes, I think you’ll like this one! Thanks Mitch.
Thanks for sharing this!! Everyday i kearn something wonderful from you guys!! ❤ You guys are the best!!
Oh yay I’m glad you are enjoying posts like these!
Lina is the best! I look forward to all her contributions. They are practical, economical and well thought of!
Yay thanks so much for the nice comment. Made my morning! 💕
I prefer to stick with white vinegar. It is so much cheaper and more effective.
Hi Becky.. how do u use it?? Like do you just put it concentrated in a spray bottle?? Or dilute it wit water??
I use it at full strength most of the time. You can cut it with water but that might leave streaks if you use too much water. For me it is easier to use only vinegar and know it will work rather than cut with water and pray for no streaks. I use a spray bottle that has a mist nozzle so it doesn’t just hit the glass and run down before I pick up my rag to wipe down the window. FYI a little goes a long way with vinegar. If you use too much vinegar it will leave water marks. Simple solution is to use a clean dry rag to wipe up after you wipe with vinegar if you think you have used too much.
Thanks Becky so sharing the details so well 🙂 This helps a lot!
Nice! Yep vinegar is great for cleaning too. 👍
I’m with you Becky! No chemicals!
Vinegar is full of chemicals. Everything is a chemical!
?
Have you heard of Force of Nature….. I use it for almost everything. Works better than vinegar and is totally safe and all natural.
So glad I’m not alone in my love for Sprayway. I love the smell! Works great, just like Lina said. I buy mine at Sam’s Club, also in the 4 pack for $6.73 (just stocked up so I knew the $). My daughter easily stored 2 cans in her small dorm room without fear of leaks or plastic bottles getting crushed. I saw a blurb somewhere that they now have stainless steel cleaner but I haven’t seen it yet.
Oh nice! That is a plus about not leaking. Yes, I heard about that cleaner and want to try too!
Hi Tami..just getting around to reading the comments. Yes..there IS Sprayway stainless steel cleaner. It did not work well at all on my 10 year old appliances, but worked great on my neighbor’s 1 year old appliances!
I was (and still sort of am) a Sprayway fan BUT last spring I was introduced to Norwex and now use the microfiber cloth and shining rag with just water on my windows and mirrors and I like it better than Sprayway! I think you can get cheaper clothes on Amazon than the $$$ Norwex cloths!
Nice! Yes, I have one of those too and am a fan.
I’m a huge Norwex fan. Love love love them!
My mama loves spray way. But, I love a traditional microfiber and straight water. No streaks. Cleans off dog noses from my windows!
I’ve used this product for 2 years. It’s ok. It doesn’t matter what type of cloth I use there’s still streaks. You can see them at angles. I keep using it because streaks are less than other products and homemade.
You wouldn’t have streaks if you used white vinegar.
Do we have to mix white vinegar with sparyway
Been using this spray for years and I prefer to use it with cheap paper towels … the memories! much glass cleaned using this in my mother’s old gift shop.
I love the smell but hate the streaks. I always just go back to windex.
I always have way more streaks with Windex than with Sprayway.
I buy Sprayaway at BJs. Four giant cans for a low price. I hate cleaning windows or glass but this product is actually fun to use – just like you said! The foam is wonderful and leaves no streaks. I use rags (cut up old t-shirts or microfiber cloths) to wipe away the cleaner. So fast and easy!
Oh that’s a great tip! Thanks Mary!
I’ve been using this a long time and absolutely love it! It works great.
Thanks Nic!
I would like to see a comparison between Sprayway and the canned glass cleaner sold at Dollar Tree.
Oh interesting! I haven’t seen it yet.
I tried it & it doesn’t compare. The dollar tree brand leaves streaks.
Before Covid ….I was buying Comet Multi Surface Cleaner in Mountain Fresh scent to clean glass and mirrors. I have not been able to find it in stores lately. Having read about Sprayway glass cleaner a couple time on Hip2Save, I am ready to give it a try.
I have been using the Sprayway All Purpose foaming cleaner in place of Scrubbing Bubbles for our tub and shower walls. Ordered it in the 6 pack of cans during those “hard to find disinfectant products” early months of Covid. I don’t recall which site I ordered it from. But it’s a good product. No doubt their glass cleaner will be to my liking. Gonna buy a can tomorrow when I go out. And take an ice pack to keep it cool. Heat index way up over 100 in my area. Yikes.
Love Sprayway. Been using it for more than 15 years, all bought at Costco. 15 years ago I was the recipient of a very expensive microfiber/maybe Suede light beige sectional couch. The original owner’s toddlers had marked it up with highlighters and markers. There were marks everywhere on this couch. This couch had set the owner back about 4000 dollars and now was ruined. My husband and I decided to try to rescue before taking it to the dump. All we used to clean it was Sprayway and the white cloth towels (found near the automotive section at Costco). In about an hour we had cleaned it up and all the marker, highlighter, and pen marks were gone. We let the couch dry for a day or two and voila….it went in our family room and was better than new. About 4 years ago, we gave it away to a newlywed couple friends of ours. She also cleaned it with Sprayway and has it had it ever since and is a staple feature on her blog and Instagram pictures. The couch has held up and I believe Sprayway has helped in the upkeep. I completely use Sprayway for all of my cleaning needs.
Wow what a great story! Thanks for sharing Sheri!
Are you talking about the all purpose cleaner or window cleaner? Amazing story- thanks for sharing
This is all we use now. The smell is very strong though but leaves the windows streak free.
Thanks Tricia!
I buy the yellow microfiber cloths from Costco and just clean mirrors and windows with water. Works great
Thanks for sharing!
Cheap, sure. But at what cost? Aerosol sprays like these are horrible for the environment! I’ll stick with the slightly less convenient traditional glass cleaner and keep a clean conscience.
Home Depot often has great deals on double packs of this!! We love it
Thanks for sharing Angela!
Nano towels are the best: just wet it, wipe, and throw in the wash to clean. It cuts through grease and grime with no chemicals and is safe to use around kids and pets. No more wasting money on window or surface cleaners they are seriously the best invention ever and make.awesome gifts 🙌
I read this post yesterday and went and bought a can of Sprayway today. I am SOLD! What an incredible product. I’ve been cleaning every surface possible today to test it out. Thank you for telling us about this product. It is a game changer!
Oh yay!! I am glad you found this post helpful Betsy! 🙌💕
