By the looks of these candles, you can barely tell the two apart! Both boast a gorgeous matte, red color along with a chunky natural wood lid. Visually, they’re extremely aesthetically pleasing. 😍
However, the most notable similarity is the fact the Walmart candle smells EXACTLY like Capri Blue! 😱

I’ve always been a huge fan of the Capri Blue scent so after discovering this Walmart candle, I had to scoop one up and try it for myself.
I’m so impressed with this Red Lava and Citrus candle! 👏🏻
The throw is just about as good as any Anthropologie candle I’ve tried. After burning it twice for 4 hours each time, I feel that the burn time is very comparable to the burn times you get with any high-end Anthro candle – even despite having an extra wick. 🙌🏻
The size and weight of the Walmart candle left me pleasantly surprised as well. It feels high quality & heavy. Plus, discovering the warm & relaxing glow it has when lit was another added bonus in my book! 🤩
There’s truly nothing to not love about this candle other than the fact the silver Better Homes & Gardens sticker is a dead giveaway of where it came from.
Luckily, I tested peeling it off and it comes off seamlessly so after cleaning up my jar, I’m convinced no one would ever know this scent isn’t straight from the luxurious shelves of Anthropologie, itself. 😊

While I’m not nearly as obsessed with this scent as my beloved Capri Blue scent, this candle has dreamy notes of creamy coconut, white mahogany, and soft elements of crushed lavender so it’s perfect if you like feeling like you’re traveling to a serene and relaxing vacation destination… in your mind at least. And honestly, who doesn’t want that?! 🙋🏼♀️
Needless to say, I think any of these Better Homes & Gardens candle scents would be a winner!

My only tip when scooping up this candle is to order online for store pick-up. I initially ordered both of my candles online and had them shipped to my home. Sadly, both arrived damaged so to save yourself the same hassle, order online and pick up in-store – they’re almost always readily available too!

Imagine my delight when I discovered their Pumpkin & Chai in January when it was on seasonal clearance for $5, and that it is the same as one of my favorite Yankee Candle scents, Vanilla Chai, which is discontinued.
I was at Greensboro NC Walmart yesterday. Their clearance section had very similar candles for $5!!! Same brand. 2-wick. Large beautiful jars. Different scents from what’s posted. Lid is not wood. But for $5 each, I found two scents I can’t wait to try. Thanks H2S for this post.

I totally understand, Casey! But I still love to burn candles, so I usually have them lit on days when I can open a screen door in my house.
