Make these Keto Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers ASAP!
Love jalapeno poppers?
You’ve gotta try making these EASY cream cheese and bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers in your air fryer using just 3 ingredients! It’s seriously one of my favorite appetizers, and they happen to be low carb and keto-friendly, too! Yippee!
Hip Tip: Do yourself a favor and wear kitchen gloves while scooping out jalapeno seeds! If you’ve ever cleaned and chopped jalapenos then accidentally touched your eyes afterward, you’ll understand – it’s no fun!
Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers

cook time: 14 MINUTES
total time: 24 MINUTES
Get ready to bite into bacon cream cheese heaven with these EASY & DELICIOUS Jalapeno Poppers made in the air fryer!
Ingredients
- 6 fresh jalapeno peppers
- 1/3 cup cream cheese, softened
- 6 slices of raw bacon
Directions
1
Slice jalapenos in half lengthwise and remove seeds.
2
Fill each jalapeno slice with cream cheese using a spoon.
3
Cut pieces of raw bacon in half and wrap each jalapeno.
4
Place poppers in the air fryer, and set to 370 degrees for 14 minutes. (Note: Your cook time may vary slightly due to your thickness of bacon and pepper. It's super easy to close the machine and add a couple of minutes of cook time until the desired doneness.)
I’ve been making these cream cheese filled poppers for years and truly LOVE them.
They’re always the first appetizer to disappear at family gatherings. Making them in the air fryer is such a quick, easy and convenient method – plus they taste incredible! But then, bacon by itself in the air fryer is amazing too. #BecauseBacon
You can also make these in your regular oven (or on the BBQ grill). Add fresh herbs, garlic, or green onions to your cream cheese to change up the flavors.
Oh Lina these look absolutely amazing. Thanks for sharing! <3
You’re so welcome!
Thanks you I lost on Keto 20 lb for three months. Please keep posting a new recipe!
Congrats Gina!
Looks yummy
May be a silly question…. But does the cream cheese leak out when cookin?
I would have to grill these?
In the air fryer – mine did not. I would be sure not to overfill and if using grill, may be smart to use toothpicks, soaked in water first, to keep it all together.
Thank u Lina🌶
I don’t own an air fryer
I think this would be good with baby portables mushrooms too
No, b/c of the shape of the jalapeno the cream cheese is cradled in there pretty well. Just don’t overfill them and they’ll be fine.
We don’t eat pork so I stuff my jalapenos w/ a mixture of ground beef (cooked w/ Penzey’s taco seasoning) + cream cheese, topped w/ some shredded pepper jack cheese, and baked at 400 for about 15-20 min. I sprinkle them w/ green onions before serving and they’re always a hit!
Not over filling the peppers it is not bad, I wrap bacon tight around which helps. I mix hot n spucy shreaded cheese with cream cheese it gives poppers a smoky flavor. Good luck
Any suggestions for a substitute for the Jalepenos that isn’t very spicy? These look so good and sound so easy but I can’t handle the slightest of spiciness! Thanks 🙂
Maybe those mini bell peppers?
It’s the seeds that really make them spicy, without those it isn’t too bad. I can’t handle slickness right but I rinse and pay dry the jalapeños and I’m good to go 😀
Thank you Lina and Karen! I think I will make a batch trying both ideas
I sometimes use banana peppers.
When you cut the jalapenos and remove all the seeds, place them in an ice bath for about 30 minutes. This removes about 90% of the heat.
I soak my jalapeños (after removing seeds) in Silk coconut milk for 30 minutes. It removes all the spicy and tastes wonderful!
I need to get an air fryer:)
You can bake these in a regular oven too. My hubs LOVES these! I’ll have to make them for our Wrestlemania party. Thanks for the inspiration!
Yes! Perfect. Enjoy them! And a wrestlemania party sounds fun!
These are my favorite! My husband and I eat a Keto diet, and it never disappoints! Enough for leftovers the next day for sure.
Thanks so much for posting! I actually have all the ingredients and my husband just joined my keto lifestyle…he will be so happy to get these tonight!!!
We’ve been making these for years, except not in the air fryer. A crowd favorite everywhere we take them. We never bring any home. Sometimes we’re lucky to even get one before they are gone.
I been wanting to make poblano peppers stuffed with cheese , Chile relleno without the egg 🥚 I’m starving and looking at this , makes me want to be home ,
I make these all the time in my air fryer. I add a little shredded cheese and some seasoning to my cream cheese. Also a good idea to put foil in the bottom of your fryer, under basket.
Thanks for sharing!
I’m liking these air fryer recipes! More please 🙂
Agreed! I just bought an air fryer (haven’t even unpacked it yet) and am so excited to try these recipes.
My husband makes these in the oven and we love them. Can’t wait to use the air fryer.
Which air fryer? Any recommendations on them? Best sizes for a family of 4 (2 small eaters)
My husband always make these for me but he add a shrimp 🍤 too instead of cream cheese alone. Mmmm…Yum!
I make these on the grill in the summer and a small convection oven inside in winter. I don’t put the bacon on them, cuz I think they take away the taste of the pepper & cheese that way. I do season up my cream cheese with chives, garlic, veggie seasoning, ranch powder, etc., or anything you want to use. My little convection oven is the round kind, (like the infrared style), but it circulates the air just like an airfryer does. I think it is called a power fryer. Anyway, I happend to find it at a church resale shop a few years ago for only &1.00!! It works wonderful! I am ready to try the doughnuts next. Thankyou for all your recipes Lina.. 🙂
You’re so welcome! Enjoy!
I just made these and they’re delicious! I never would have thought to make them Keto friendly or cook them in my air fryer. I just wish my air fryer was bigger so I could make more in one batch! Thanks!
Oh great! Thanks for sharing!
I have a power air fryer oven. It will hold 20 of these.I use crab dip instead of cheese sometimes. Love them
Keep em coming I just bought an air fryer!! 😍
Excellent!
My stepmom makes these with the mini sweet peppers and they’re good. I make mine with jalapenos and suggest using pineapple cream cheese, if you can find it. Sounds weird, but so delicious! Adds just a touch of sweet to the heat.
Wow! That sounds awesome 👏
I forget about jalapeños poppers but love them! And my air fryer! Will definitely be trying these. Thank you!
I am also interested in an air fryer–would appreciate any recommendations as to brands, what price to look for, etc. Meanwhile, I’ll be grillin’ my poppers!
I bought the large Yedi on amazon. Great reviews and great customer service. Plus it came with a bunch of accessories. Works great! I love it! You might check out the Corsiri, too.
I love this, thanks! I also make a treat with a date stuffed with a pecan and wrapped with bacon, yummm
Oh that sounds delicious!
I froze a bunch of uncooked jalapeño poppers last fall! And have cooked them from frozen state in the air frier! That works fabulous too! We like to add some bbq sauce to them before cooking!
Wow! Great idea. Yum
How long and what temp did I cook them from frozen?
Never thought I wanted an air fryer… until this post! Yummm!!! 🥓 ❤️
If you like these try jalepeno popper deviled eggs. They are delicious! Lots of recipes on Pinterest
Yum!!!
Yum gotta try these!
Thanks for the recipe! These are AMAZING!
Oh hooray! I agree!
I was wondering if you spray the basket of the air fryer first? Also, do you preheat the fryer? Can’t wait to try this.
On my air fryer – no I do not preheat. That’d be a good idea to spray the basket before! Thanks 👍
We’ve been making these for years as well but it wasn’t until a local festival that we learned something new. Jalapeno Poppers are even more DELICIOUS when dipped in bbq sauce!!
Thanks for sharing the air fryer recipe. We recently joined air fryer world and jalapeno poppers would be the little taste of summer we need right now!
Anyone else set of the smoke alarm making these in The air fryer?
Try adding a little water to the bottom of air fryer and it’s less likely to smoke.
Can these be made ahead and frozen? If so, should they be frozen uncooked or cooked? I would like to be able to make a large batch (we have a lot of peppers to harvest) then pull a few out to reheat for a snack once in a while.
I think I would freeze them uncooked, then when ready just pop them in the oven or air fryer. 👍
