If you love chocolate and avocados separately, try combining them for a delicious and creamy smoothie perfect for breakfast or a midday treat! This unexpected combo is my new favorite way to enjoy fresh ripe avocados and it’s super easy to make.
Chocolate Avocado Smoothie
1/2 cold avocado
1 frozen banana
3 tablespoons milk (I used chocolate almond milk)
1/3 cup Greek yogurt (I used vanilla yogurt)
1 and 1/2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
Combine all ingredients in a high powered blender or food processor, blend until smooth.
I usually make berry or green smoothies, but it’s fun to switch it up a little and try something different. Customize this recipe by using your favorite milk and/or yogurt to fit your dietary needs and taste. If you use unsweetened milk and yogurt, you may want to add honey or another sweetener.
