3 Delicious Cottage Cheese Bowls Packed with Protein!
If you want to ramp up your protein intake these quick and simple cottage cheese bowls are perfect 90-second meal ideas.
Are you into cottage cheese right now, or curious about how to eat it?
Consider using protein and calcium-rich cottage cheese as a base to create a creamy cheesy meal! You can dress it up with various veggies, sauces, and meat combinations to make them delclious and satisfying! This is an excellent quick meal for one, or you can compile multiple bowls for the family.
I tried this popular melted cottage cheese bowl trend last year and loved it. Making them for myself as quick 90-second microwave meals has been helpful to me for meeting my protein goals daily. Half a cup of cottage cheese has 14 grams of protein!
Boosting protein has many health benefits including building and preserving muscle, and making you feel full longer.
Tip: Whip up your cottage cheese first for a creamy texture!
Many don’t love the texture of cottage cheese, but this can easily be fixed! If the lumpy texture and visible curds are a turn off this can easily be addressed. Whip up your cottage cheese in a blender or use an immersion blender like I do.
Today I am sharing 3 versions of the easy cottage cheese bowls I have been making!
1. Cottage Cheese Pizza Bowl
This bowl has similar flavors to a slice of pizza, and is so delicious. You can swap out the veggies and meat for pizza toppings you’d prefer. I love the pepperoni and bell pepper combo. Add crushed red pepper flakes at the end to make it a little spicy!
You could use mini bell peppers or pita chips as a crunchy dipper on this bowl. YUM!
2. Cottage Cheese Taco Bowl
I purposely prep ahead extra ground taco meat for the week so I can make these Mexican cottage cheese bowls during the week. This is creamy, flavorful and satisfying. I love eating it with Quest protein chips! The crunch and taco flavor is delicious.
3. Buffalo Chicken Cottage Cheese Bowl
This bowl starts by air-frying frozen breaded chicken nuggets. Then, you can melt in the cottage cheese, shredded cheese, buffalo sauce, and chopped celery. If spicy isn’t your thing, substitute in your favorite BBQ sauce or marinara sauce for a chicken parmesan-style bowl.
I love the great flavor combinations here. The ranch seasoning is perfect with the cottage cheese!

I actually love cottage cheese. When whipped, it’s a good ricotta replacement for any Italian dish, especially lasagna! And when eggs are included with whip, you can use it as batter to make a high-protein wrap.
