Easy 10 Minute Tiramisu (No-Bake Dessert)

Easy Tiramisu Hip2Save.com

If you’re a fan of Tiramisu (a sinfully delicious coffee-flavored dessert!), try making this simple version that you can whip up in under 10 minutes at home! This no-bake dessert turns out creamy and decadent and is perfect for holiday parties and gatherings.

Easy Tiramisu Recipe (Prepare In just 10 Minutes)

Adapted from KitchenNostalgia.com

Ingredients:

1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup mascarpone cheese, room temperature (see substitute idea below)
3 tablespoons sugar
1 tsp Vanilla extract
1 tablespoon Amaretto liquor or Brandy (optional but yummy!)
1 and 1/2 cups espresso or STRONG coffee at room temperature – sweetened if desired
1 package Lady Fingers (such as the Savoiardi brand; found in cookie aisle)
Cocoa powder for dusting the top

1 cup Mascarpone Cheese Substitution: Cream together 6 oz. softened cream cheese, 2 Tablespoons sour cream, and 3 Tablespoons heavy cream
How to make Tiramisu Hip2Save.com
Directions: Beat whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form in a medium bowl. Stir in mascarpone cheese and amaretto. Dip lady fingers in coffee and place in an 8×8 pan to make the first layer – you can fit about 7 cookies in each layer. Spread half of the whipped cream mixture on top of first layer of lady fingers. Repeat process with second layer of lady fingers and cream mixture. Dust the top of dessert with cocoa powder using a sifter or hand held kitchen strainer tool. Refrigerate for about 4-8 hours (it gets even better in the fridge and is a perfect make-ahead dessert). Serves about 6.

My Tips: I’ve made this recipe twice (love my job! 😀 ) – do not make the mistake of soaking ladyfingers too long in the coffee because they will get mushy and fall apart. If you enjoy drinking your coffee a little sweetened, then consider sweetening the coffee. If you are serving a crowd, you can easily double this recipe and place in a larger 9×13 baking dish.

Ive made this several times around Christmas time, but outside of the holiday season, I have trouble finding ladyfinger cookies at my local grocery store. What can I use as a substitute?

    • Sara

My grocery carries lady fingers in the fresh produce aisle.

I got some lady fingers at Dollar Tree… They have had them the last couple of times I have been there… Now in Culinary School we had to make them by hand…they were super yummy!

My maiden name was Michele Habegger! Crazy that is not a common last name.

Does anyone know of a brand of lady finger cookies that are egg-free? I love Tiramisu but have had trouble finding cookies that suit my diet.

Is there a non alcoholic substitution for liquor?

    • Megan

Just leave it out. It tastes fine without it.

But it tastes fantastic with dark rum.

The recipe my mom always made, is with round chocolate cake layers. Where I m from you can actually buy them ready made at the grocery store…but we still don’t have boxed cake mix, go figure! I know lady fingers are the original, but I had it with the cam sooo many times, I love it like a childhood memory. So it s a good sub if u can t find savoiardi. She still used the coffee but sprinkled on it instead of soaking. Yum!

I don’t add any liquor at all to mine, and I refrigerate it for 24 hours. It’s so much more flavorful that way! Always a hit at my dinner parties.

Am I missing something? It is going to take me at least 12 lady fingers to cover the bottom of an 8×8 pan!
