If you’re looking for an easy and festive way to decorate a boxed cupcake mix, check out these fun hot cocoa cupcakes. They look fancy, but are actually fairly simple – they just require mini candy canes, marshmallows, and sprinkles.
For these Hot Cocoa Cupcakes you’ll need:
- 24 chocolate cupcakes (from the box or homemade)
- 24 mini candy canes
- white frosting
- mini marshmallows
Directions: Make and cool cupcakes. Frost cupcakes with white icing. Try to leave a little of the chocolate cake showing around the edges (I’ve used this handy Wilton Dessert Decorator for years and I love it!). Sprinkle cupcakes with mini marshmallows and sprinkles. Place a mini candy cane gently on the side of each cupcake – just press down a little and the candy cane should remain in place.
