Hot Honey Mozzarella Eggs are Sweet, Spicy, and Shockingly Good!
These hot honey mozzarella eggs are the cheesy upgrade that’ll make eggs exciting again.

Breakfast is crispy, melty, and ready in minutes with just a frying pan!
If you love recipes that feel a little fancy but require almost no effort, these 3-ingredient hot honey eggs are about to be your new obsession. All you need is eggs, mozzarella cheese, and hot honey, plus one frying pan and about five minutes of your life.
The result? Crispy, melty edges, jammy eggs, and that sweet-heat drizzle that makes you wonder why you haven’t been doing this forever.

Hip Tip: You can easily make your own hot honey by gently warming honey with crushed red pepper flakes over low heat for a few minutes, then letting it steep. Strain if desired, cool, and store in a jar for a sweet-spicy drizzle that goes on everything. 🍯🔥

Extra tips for making eggs with hot honey:
- Pan size matters: A smaller nonstick pan keeps everything contained and extra melty.
- Low and slow for jammy yolks: Medium/low heat keeps the cheese from burning while the eggs cook evenly. The first try, I burned the cheese, so lower the heat if it gets too dark.
- Make it toast-worthy: Slide the whole thing onto sourdough or an open bagel.
- Extra heat: Drizzle hot honey and a splash of sriracha or chili oil.
- Swap the cheese: Try provolone, fontina, or even pepper jack for more kick.

The sweet-and-spicy, cheesy upgrade that’ll make eggs exciting again.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon hot honey
- 1/2 cup mozarella cheese, shredded
- 2 eggs
- salt& pepper to taste ( I love The Blend seasoning)
- topping idea: chopped basil or herbs
Directions
1
Heat a small skillet on the stove to medium heat. Add a drizzle of hot honey directly to the pan, then sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top.
2
Crack the eggs over the cheese. Close the lid on the skillet for a couple of minutes until the whites are set and the yolks are just how you like them and season with salt and pepper. The cheese will be browned and crisp.
3
Transfer to a plate and top with fresh or dried herbs. Serve while everything is bubbly and melty

These hot honey eggs have minimal ingredients and maximum flavor!
It’s the kind of recipe you make once… and then suddenly you’re making it three times a week. My husband and I have had this for two days in a row, and I don’t see us slowing down. The addition of a warm tortilla is great as well, and we have tried this with shredded cheddar, and it’s just as great.
