Frozen green beans made with crunchy panko breadcrumbs, garlic, olive oil, and Parmesan cheese for an irresistible sheet pan side dish that's ready in about 40 minutes.
Ingredients
- 20 oz. frozen green beans
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon The Blend seasoning (or just combine salt, pepper, and garlic powder)
- 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 3/4 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Directions
1
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Spread the frozen green beans in a single layer on the sheet pan.
2
Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat. Sprinkle with the garlic, salt, and pepper seasoning.
3
In a small bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and onion powder. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the green beans.
4
Roast in the oven for 20 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven and gently toss the green beans. Spread everything back into an even layer. Bake for another 10–15 minutes, or until the breadcrumbs are golden brown and the green beans are tender.
Here are some other frozen green bean variations to try:
- Lemon Garlic: Finish with fresh lemon zest and a squeeze of lemon juice.
- Spicy Parmesan: Add crushed red pepper flakes.
- Everything Bagel: Sprinkle Everything Bagel seasoning over the green beans before roasting.
- Cheddar Bacon: Add shredded cheddar and crispy bacon during the last few minutes of baking.
- Hot Honey: Drizzle with hot honey before serving for a sweet-and-spicy finish.

You won’t believe how crispy frozen green beans can get!
I love that the inside is tender and the outside is crispy. There’s no chopping or defrosting involved and honestly, they taste fancy yet super easy and low effort to make. The next time you are thinking of a fun side dish to serve, make these yummy parmesan crispy green beans!
Serve these green beans alongside our favorite baked chicken recipe as a delclious dinner combo!
I do fresh trimmed green beans from the produce aisle 425* drizzled with garlic olive oil and a sprinkle of salt over them for 15-20 minutes. I have multiple medical issues where I can’t have many seasonings or ingredients and will put a whole bag on the sheet and break them up into multiple servings to keep some in the refrigerator and put some in the freezer for when I need a quick side. The lesser cook time is much easier to deal with in my FL heat.
Thanks so much for sharing your method, Sue! Garlic olive oil and a little salt sounds like such a simple, delicious combo. Also love that you portion them out for easy sides later! That’s such a smart time-saver! 🙌❤️

Hi! These look great, but I don’t see the amount of Onion Powder listed? It’s in the description, but I don’t see it in the list of ingredients. Thanks!
Whoops! It’s 1/2 teaspoon! We’ve added it above too. Thank you! 😊
