An easy, playful dessert twist on classic chips and salsa featuring fresh, juicy strawberry salsa served with crisp homemade chocolate “chips” for dipping.
Ingredients
- 1 pint strawberries, chopped
- 1 bag chocolate chips
- 1 bag white chocolate chips

Chop the strawberries into small pieces. Place them in a bowl with a little sugar or honey to sweeten to taste. .

Melt the chocolate on the stove or in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time. For the stove, place the chocolate in a heat-safe bowl on top of the saucepan with 2 inches of boiling water. Stir in a little coconut or vegetable oil if needed to smooth.

Cover a sheet pan with parchment paper. Spoon the chocolate over the paper in heart shapes or circles. Freeze for at least 15 minutes until hardened. Use them as "chips" to dip teh strawberries and enjoy!
Tips for making the best strawberry chips and salsa:
- Pat strawberries dry after washing to avoid watery salsa.
- Chop strawberries small so they scoop easily.
- Serve fresh for the best texture contrast.
- Melt the chocolate on the stove using a double boiling method or use the microwave 30 seconds at a time until melted.
- I like to add a little coconut oil or vegetable oil so the chocolate melts more smoothly.
