I am not to happy with Amazon, been a Prime member for many years and my monthly S&S varies from 100.00 to over 200.00. They cancelled my order for a box of Diapers which is a monthly item as is the wipes with no notice! My delivery day in on the 30th of every month. They could have at least sent an email so we could have looked somewhere else before we ran out!

I completely understand. Try Sam’s Club if you have one in your area. If you don’t have a membership, you should be able to get a one day pass at the Customer Service desk. Also, try the mexican grocery stores those have been fully stocked for the most part. If you still can’t find any put it out on social media for your friends/family, I’m sure someone in your area will help you out. After all we’re all in this together. Stay safe.

    • gray757

I agree! I pay for prime and have for many years. I understand delays but long time membership customers should get some priority!

      • ohjodi

They’re short-handed, orders are bottle-necking, some workers have the virus, all others are working despite the risk, and risking the lives of their own families, and you want them to then sort orders into Prime and not-Prime, because you feel inconvenienced and indignant. Right.

        • nancy

OMG I agree 1000% People complain about the smallest issues!! No diaper delivery????😲😲The world is ending!

          • Sara

It might not seem like a big issue to you but no diaper delivery is a disaster if you have a child who wears them. The original writer said she understood but wanted notice that she was going to have a shortage. Imagine if you were told that you would have no way to change your child’s smelly, rash causing dirty diaper? Diapers are a necessity, not a luxury.

        • Annie Itterley

Well maybe can use all the back stocked toilet paper? we have not been able to get any toilet paper since e\the end of February so I understand but in these times we have to be creative and tolerant to certain issues with deliveries and the companies, there are people risking their health just to sort and send us what we need, so please be patient people, and compassionate

    • DebJ

Enough with all the complaints, please. Everyone is doing the best they can under the circumstances.

    • Michelle

It makes me sad to hear people without understanding.

      • Nanci

As an Amazon employee, I SO appreciate your comments! Thank you!

  2. Gordyl

This makes me happy! My payment comes out tomorrow and I was gonna have some bad feelings if they charged for something I didn’t have access to! Knowing amazon it would just be a few minutes in a chat but still the hassle!

  3. Julie

They have removed all discounts and implemented a 1 per customer limit on products.

    • Ann

I feel bad for the employees. I placed an order $37 and 17 items since it was a limit of one item. Having to race to fill those boxes must be hard with so many different items. I am very curious how they will pack 24 pack of water 12 pack of soda, 6 pack of soda bottles, along with chips, pasta, canned goods. I know there needs to be limits, our local grocery store is 2 or 3 depending on the item. I was just hoping to be able to buy 2 jars of fruit. I am happy to get a few items without having to send my husband to the store. I have a vegetarian daughter and grocery stores are just out of fresh produce, all slots for grocery delivery or pick up are taken and they will not even schedule one because they are a week out. I planted some seeds this week, I have never had a green thumb, lets hope this year will be my lucky year!

      • J

Try Walmart Grocery pick up or your best bet is to go to the grocery store early in the morning since they’re restocking every night. I’ve read Mondays & Tuesday mornings are your best bet since that’s when most stores get their new truck loads.

      • Aleshia

Have you looked for local farmers? We have local butchers, vendors, dairy farmers, local honey, local produce farmers, local pecans, etc.

      • Candy M

If this helps, I have a MIsfit Market boxed delivered weekly with fresh organic produce. Its 40% cheaper than grocery stores. You can pick your delivery date, customer service is excellent.

On a random note not a fan of the update ever since I have to click on every single post to see what the deal is. As opposed to before the update I could read what it was about before clicking now the wording part is just blank. FYI I am on an iPhone 8 using the app…

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

There was a problem with dark mode on the iPhones. We have since fixed that in the last few days. Please delete the app and add install it again. Let us know if that fixes the problem for you, Monique!

      • Monique

Thanks Jennifer for the reply I will do that now! You guys are the best!!!

        • Monique

          Fixed! You’re a lifesaver!

          • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Wahoo! Thanks for letting us know! Have a great night, Monique!

  5. hudsonbelle

Yay! Thanks so much for letting us know!!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

      You are welcome, hudsonbelle!

  6. JC

FYI – There is no delivery times available in my area – they only told this after I loaded up my cart so keep that in mind before you get your hopes up.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Are you talking about Prime Pantry? These are mailed items. Or are you talking about Prime Fresh where they deliver it to your home?

    • jackiehorsman

Same here. No delivery in my area, I have been a prime member since I don’t even know when. Many years. Additionally, the first SIXTEEN items I tried to add to my cart were out of stock. I know they are overwhelmed, I get that. But don’t open up the pantry if you aren’t ready, it is just frustrating. I’m having way better luck with pick up from Target or Walmart (they don’t always have everything but they have more than Prime – which is zip). I’m also using Jet, Boxed, Home Depot, etc. Way better alternatives. Again, I get they are overwhelmed, but I also think they should be refunding or pro-rating prime memberships.

  7. Maite Lopez

My husband just placed an order because we needed detergent. We did not know that you could only put one of each item??? It’s ok for detergents and cleaning things but we were only able to get 1 can of the same soup??? Kind of ridiculous if you have a big family! We used Pantry this time because of the shortage of items but I don’t think I will use again unless all I am ordering cleaning and personal care items. Thanks anyway for the post, as always you guys are awesome!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

You are welcome! The limit of one of the same item is just temporary. Usually, you can order as many as you like.

    • J

I wish I could get one can of soup at Walmart lol. They’ve been sold out at mine for almost a month. Try Dollar Tree they sell name brand soups.

      • Aleshia

I get her frustration. I have a family of 6 soon to be 7 and our grocery store limits 1 pound of beef or 1 pack of chicken. That wouldn’t even feed half my family for one meal. If it weren’t for local butchers, farmers, restaurants, and vendors I wouldn’t be able to properly feed my kids. I haven’t had to leave my house in 2 weeks thanks to these local farmers and their delivery services. I try to avoid the public since I’m 5 weeks out from my due date.

      • Maite Lopez

        😊Thank you! I will try

        • Amber

Dollar general and family dollar also

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Great find, Tracey! I added that to the list!

    • PrincessMom

Thanks for sharing that, I’m trying to find things to get me to the minimum order!

  8. PrincessMom

I always order the bottled water I use at work from there and have it delivered to my office. They’re only letting me get one 12-pack. I could see limiting it to two, one seems extreme. (I normally get eight at a time, I drink a LOT of water and use it for my oatmeal etc…yes, I practically live there) I don’t think I can come up with enough to meet the limit with one of each item unless I get a bunch of stuff to bring home.

  9. ET

Thanks for the heads up. Just placed my first order. So happy not to have to shop for the items in store. I found the prices to be fairly comparable to the prices of my usual supermarket.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh good! SO happy this was helpful! You’re welcome, ET!

  10. MaaMaaBear

Is shipping usually free on Prime Pantry for Amazon Prime members??

    • Amy

No, it’s a flat rate 5.99. Always been my biggest gripe with it, since you’re already paying for Prime. You can only use Prime Pantry if you are a prime member though

  11. Kiera

Limits on the #s and it will take some time to come, but the items should hold us. Glad to get an alternate route instead of going into the store.

  12. Gramma C

We’re trying to stay home totally but I’m wondering what you all are doing about dairy and fresh produce?

    • gray757

      Not eating much of either

    • kerryhaney@gmail.com

I’ve been ordering from misfits market. Here’s my referral code if you’d like 25% off. COOKWME-IW5DZZ

    • jwieland

Edible Arrangements is doing produce boxes if you have one near you.

      • Terri

I went to their site, could not find produce, how do I find out?

  13. jessraint

Thank you so much! I was able to get a few things that have been out of stock at WalMart grocery pick-up. 🙂

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

You’re SO welcome! Happy you could snag what you needed!

  14. jackiehorsman

Personally, I’m avoiding Amazon right now. I get they are inundated. Living in a rural area, we have become Amazon (and online stores) dependent to save time of commuting just to get groceries. But Amazon is way backed up. I ordered tampons 2 weeks ago – I am subscribe and save on many items – my update from them says an additional two weeks for my subscribe items. Again, I get they are backed up so I’m looking at other sites to try and find things. To be honest, Hip2Save – why even post anything Amazon right now? If it is not ‘essential’ by their standards, it’s up to a month shipping IF you even get it and items sell out in less than an hour. It’s frustrating. I think it would be great if you guys could help out with lesser known or alternative ideas. Just a suggestion. Thanks.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks a bunch for your feedback and suggestion! We truly appreciate it! I’ll be certain to pass this along to the team!

  15. Terri

We placed an order yesterday, delivery is in 2 months

    • Catzed

Oh my goodness. I was upset over 3 weeks

    • Donna

I placed am Amazon order for some supplies that I consider to be non-essential. Although the delivery date was listed as anywhere from April 9th -24th, depending on the item, some already came, and others are being delivered tomorrow. Amazon is constantly updating the delivery dates to sooner than initially stated.

  16. Veronica

I don’t really understand how many are so upset with amazon right now. What EVERYONE does not understand is that there are faces behind all your deliveries. It is bad enough with all the extra volume with the pandemic right now as it is…. even with just the so called essentials only. There is endless overtime for amazon workers… some want to be at home with their own families too. I work for amazon and COULD be in front of my computer clicking away ordering ENDLESS items complaining they are not at my doorstep fast enough…DOES everyone understand whaT we are dealing with here!? if someone is unhappy make they should pickup a job at AMAZON or send one of their loved ones so that their shopping game is improved!

    • jessie

Thanks for all your hard work! I appreciate all you do!
