If you’re an avid Amazon shopper, you have likely used the Amazon Subscribe & Save program to score awesome deals on categories like beauty, grocery, pet, household, and more. I mean, who doesn’t love the convenience of having products you need automatically delivered to your door each month!?
BUT… Amazon recently made a Subscribe & Save policy change that affects non-Prime members!
As we previously reported, Amazon updated its Subscribe & Save shipping policy so that non-Prime members may now incur shipping charges on their first delivery.
Everyone still receives free standard shipping on auto-deliveries, but keep in mind that non-Prime members will now have to add $25 worth of qualifying products to their order to receive free shipping on their first delivery.
With Amazon Subscribe & Save, you can quickly set up regularly scheduled deliveries (from every 2 weeks to every six months) on thousands of eligible products, AND you can even set different items to different schedules!
Also, you can unlock extra savings and deals on select subscriptions by clipping coupons or subscribing to five or more products in one month to one address on your monthly delivery day.
We especially love Subscribe & Save as there is NO commitment once you subscribe (even if it’s just for one month!) and you can cancel or skip your deliveries at ANY time by visiting your account!
As we mentioned above, to get the most bang for your buck with Subscribe & Save, you need to schedule at least 5 items for regular delivery so that you automatically get an extra 15% off your entire order!
Oftentimes, you may find that you are subscribed to 4 items and you just need to find one more item to hit that 5-item total to get the coveted 15% off. These items are what we often refer to as a “filler” item.

With Subscribe & Save, you'll score free standard shipping on auto-deliveries (non-Prime customers may incur shipping costs for the first delivery).
You can also cancel your subscriptions easily in your Amazon account without being penalized. That means if you’re just wanting to snag a deal for the low price but don’t want the subscription, you can cancel it right after you receive your order.
Also, you can unlock extra savings on select subscriptions by clipping coupons, and you can save an extra 15% instead of the regular 5% off all items in your subscription whenever you add 5 or more eligible items to your monthly subscriptions.
NOTE - In advance of each delivery, Amazon will send you a reminder email showing the item price and any applicable discount for your upcoming delivery. I am not a Prime member. It looks like I have to pay shipping for the first delivery for subscribe & save item, is it correct? It is confusing since they say “As soon as you create your first subscription, the items you’ve ordered will ship immediately with free standard shipping.”
