Each player shouts out a related word to prove their innocence and tries to track down who the Chameleon is, but will they blend into the group and escape – or will they get caught?!

This award-winning game is recommended for 3-8 players, ages 14 and up so it’s a board game for adults that’s suitable for all teens. It happens to be Collin’s (our Hip founder) favorite game to play with her kids!

Another good one for older kids is ticket to ride. Expensive but fun.

Thanks for the suggestion! I haven’t played that. I’ll have to grab it for my kiddos! β€οΈπŸ™Œ

We love playing Code Names with our 11 & 13 year olds! Even little brother, age 6, likes to help. πŸ™‚

Check out thrift stores like Goodwill! I recently scored 3 games for under $10. They had all the pieces (even the cards) for each of the 3 games. The store clerk told me that they receive so many games, and often they have hardly been used. A couple of the games still had the punch out card that you remove pieces from πŸ˜‰

Thanks for sharing your tip, Ashlie! Sounds like you’ve scored some great finds! πŸ’ž

Another frugal tip- check your local library. Ours has a game lending library (and a puzzle lending library too!)

Me and the kids recently discovered a couple of board game libraries in our area. They have around 1000 board games to choose from and a pretty good snack bar, bonus! They charge around 4 bucks an hour, per person, but you can try and buy almost any board game out there and meet some pretty cool people too.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

That sounds like a ton of fun! Thanks for taking the time to comment! I’ll have to look for that in my area too! πŸŽ‰πŸ₯°
