She purchased the one by Simply Southern from Amazon (our #1 pick!) and this Crown & Ivy brand from Belk. Unfortunately for Erica, this dupe experience taught her the lesson of “you get what you pay for” as the one side of the Crown & Ivy handle popped right off! 😡
She had hers filled with necessities for a fun day at the pool but the contents of the bag spilling everywhere (while carrying her baby no less!) completely put a sour taste in her mouth for this dupe.
If it’s any consolation, the Belk customer service team was so kind and compassionate towards this unpleasant experience, and they offered Erica a full refund without needing her to send back the bag. At least there was a silver lining to the not-so-stellar purchase but buyer beware as other reviewers of the Crown & Ivy bag have reported the same issue!

Bogg regularly gives stock to smaller retailers so you can easily find bags that way – check their Instagram and website to find which retailers have them near you or online to ship to you. The prices on Amazon are ridiculously marked up, but I have seen a few pieces go on sale here and there. I personally love Callahans Gifts and usually buy online there; super fast shipping. If you set alerts on their Instagram to be notified of new posts, or any other small retailer that carries them and posts restocks, you can easily snag a Bogg and accessories for retail price. You’ll be supporting both small businesses – which includes the original designer! There’s a reason they’re so popular too – the Bogg quality and customer service is top notch! Sometimes it’s worth paying a bit more for.

I didn’t know anything about Boggs Bags until this post. But I am a bag, of any kind, junkie! I’d love to have a fashionable bag like these for our yearly cruise. So do they fold for packing in a suitcase?

I got a pink bag at Hobby Lobby several years ago for the same attributes you describe with the Bogg bags. I know I paid under 15 and it has held up amazingly well. It doesn’t have holes all over but has some flowers along the top instead. A few of the flowers have holes in the center. I would share a picture but I don’t see how. Maybe they still carry them.

I super glued my Crown and Ivy straps immediately after I got them! It has held up great and don’t have to worry about straps coming off!!!

I have the one from belk and it’s held up like a champ. I’ve had it for about two months and it’s been to water parks, beaches, and on a cruise. I love that the straps are removable for when I want to pack it in my luggage.

I had the same problem with the Crown & Ivy bag the first time I used it. I discovered that the handle was twisting, and I was able to get it back on the right way and make sure the straps were always up before I picked it up. It has not happened again after the first couple of times. I hope that helps!

I have the Crown & Ivy and mine handle kept popping off and getting twisted. My 10 year old niece told me, you have to screw the little knob until its tight. Easy Peasy and held up wonderfully at the beach. I keep it in my truck and put my grocery bags in it.. heavy duty. But yes tell your person that the little knobs screw in to tighten the handle and it will not fall off.

If you are near a Shoe Dept store, they sell the big Bogg bags for $75 and the small ones for $54. If they don’t have it in stock, they can order it for you. when I look at their website online, it’s listed for more, but if you place the order in store it’s cheaper plus there’s free shipping.
I also have a simply southern one from Amazon. It was still pretty expensive, but I can tell you they are worth every penny. It is so nice and convenient to have this kind of bag to haul beach/pool toys, sunscreen and towels.
