What is “Clear the List”? It’s a nationwide movement to support teachers by purchasing items for their school supply lists.

School will be back in session soon (some districts start in just a couple of weeks!), and teachers are already working hard to prepare their classrooms for the new 2025-2026 school year. This includes stocking up on school supplies for their students!

Did you know that many teachers pay for the majority of classroom supplies out of their own pockets? Yes, it’s true! Classroom supplies are not cheap, and many school districts and families are struggling. This leaves many teachers to pay for school supplies out of their own pockets.

Teachers always go the extra mile for their students, so let’s show them how much we appreciate them by giving back and helping to fulfill their supply lists!

You can help by donating items from teachers’ Amazon shopping lists!

Teachers and educational professionals can head over to Amazon, create a classroom wish list, and then share their lists publicly. Anyone can ‘donate’ items that are on the list, and after donating, donors can even leave a note or message letting the teacher know how much they are appreciated. So awesome!

Even better, if you post your list on social media and tag Amazon with #clearthelist, you may find that your list is cleared BY Amazon! So cool!

Teachers, follow these steps to make your classroom wish list on Amazon:

  • Head over to Amazon and hover over Account & List at the top. Select ‘Create a List’ from the drop-down menu and name your list.
  • Hover over the three dots More menu on the right, and click Manage List to update your shipping address (this is important!) and other preferences like whether you want the list to be private or public. You can also designate whether your list is for an organization, and if so, you’ll have the option to provide the website address of the organization.
  • Click ‘Save’ and then you can start adding items to your list!
  • To add items to your wish list, simply browse for products on Amazon and then click ‘Add to List’ under the Buy box on the right-hand side of any item’s product detail page.
  • Only list owners can make changes through Manage List. Both list owners and collaborators will be able to add and remove items.

If you’re a teacher, be sure to share your teacher list in the comments below so that readers can help clear the list! 🙌

My name is Toria Sanchez and I am an art teacher in Portsmouth, Virginia. This is my 4th year teaching at my Title I school. While our general supplies are covered, there are some essential decor and materials lacking to make my art room not only inclusive, and inviting, but also safe and welcoming for learning. Anything purchased will help! Thank you!

    Hi friends and kind-hearted supporters!

I’m a 4th grade teacher at a Title I school, where many of my students face economic challenges but come to school every day full of curiosity, energy, and the desire to learn. I want to give them the best possible classroom experience—one that’s safe, welcoming, and fully stocked with the tools they need to thrive.

Hi I’m Ms. Adkins! This will be my 4th year teaching. Previously I taught 2nd graders and this year I’m shifting down to teach 1st graders! I’ll have between 25-30 kids in my class & I’m so excited for the new year! I work in a tiny, little rural town where unfortunately families struggle financially. My goal with this wishlist is to be able to not only have the fun stuff to help enhance their learning, but to also have some supplies for families who can’t afford them. My students are my everything! Anything, big or small, helps so much and is so incredibly appreciated! ❤️

The items here will help me create a warm, welcoming, and healthy learning environment where my students feel safe, supported, and inspired. Every item is chosen with purpose and to make our classroom feel more like a home, to provide opportunities and to ensure my students have the tools they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. I want to build a cafe / library area and have snacks and drinks available to fuel them and get them closer to graduation. Your generosity directly impacts their daily experiences and helps me give them a space where they can thrive. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1J4RP6N1IW1IL?ref_=wl_share

After 27 years as a kindergarten teacher, I’ve never asked for help… until now. Had heart surgery in May and am struggling financially. School starts Monday (the 11th). I only need 7 essentials for $86.64. Any support is appreciated. Thank you! 💖 https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2HQMV0EJZC7OE?ref_=wl_share

I am a first grade teacher in the city of Pittsburgh. My students are 96% economically disadvantaged, but that doesn’t stop them from overcoming obstacles for success. I appreciate you taking the time to read my email, and we teachers are so very grateful for the opportunity.

I would like to say thank you for helping to clear teacher wishlists! I teach 1st grade in a title1 school in the Bronx. A lot of my students can not afford supplies so I end up spending a lot of own money to help these children have the supplies they need!! I want to make this year as special as possible for them! Thanks for helping to support my class!

I teach many levels of band in Forest Grove, Oregon. Right now, our band classroom is in need of a few items. Check out our list to support Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, 2 Jazz Bands, Countless Jazz Combos, a robust Percussion Program, and our Marching Band.

What a blessing it is to teach at a Title 1 school. Our students get free breakfast, lunch, healthy snack and school supplies. They come from a variety of cultural backgrounds and face many adversities, yet they show up ready to learn. I take my position of Literacy Specialist for our school very seriously as I know learning to read is the ticket for our students to get out of their generation poverty. They can do it, we just need support in reading supplies not only for them, but also for their teachers to learn more about how to read.

Thank you for your support, here is my list: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1GLC2PEJ91KX1/ref=nav_wishlist_lists_5

It is heartwarming to know our world still has some generous people in it.
    Thank you!
