It’s Time to Help Teachers Clear The List!

With back to school season right around the corner, thousands of teachers across the country are working to prepare their classrooms for the new school year and this typically means stocking up on school supplies.

Did you know that many teachers pay for a majority of classroom supplies out of their own pockets? Yes, it’s true! Classroom supplies are not cheap and some school districts struggle, leaving many teachers to pay for school supplies on their own.

Let’s help support teachers with the Clear The List movement! ❤️

You can help by donating items from teacher’s Amazon shopping lists!

Teachers and educational professionals can head over to Amazon, create a classroom wish list, and then share their lists publicly. Even better, anyone can ‘donate’ items that are on the list and after making a donation, donors can even leave a note or message letting the teacher know how much they are appreciated. So awesome!

Teachers, follow these steps to make your own classroom wish list on Amazon:

  • Head over to Amazon and hover over Account & List at the top of any Amazon.com page. Select ‘Create a List’ from the drop-down menu.
  • Choose the Wish list and whether you want the list to be private or public. You can also designate whether your list is for an organization and if so, you’ll have the option to provide the website address of the organization.
  • Click ‘Save’ and then you can start adding items to your list!
  • To add items to your wish list, simply browse Amazon for products and then click ‘Add to List’ under the Buy box on the right-hand side of any item’s product detail page.
  • Only list owners can make changes through Manage List. Both list owners and collaborators will be able to add and remove items.

If you’re a teacher, be sure to share your teacher list in the comments below so that readers can help clear your list! 🙌

Hello all! I’m a 5th grade teacher in Oregon City, Oregon. Since students will not be able to share supplies this year it’s essential that each is outfitted appropriately. I have a mix of students who are and are not on free/reduced lunch so this would greatly help out my students that are on free/reduced lunch and any that don’t come to school with the supplies they need to succeed!

I’ve been a teacher for 11 years, but I’m teaching third grade for the first time this year. Most of my classroom library is geared towards first and second graders. I did some research to see what books third graders might like…. now I’M the one who’s excited to read them! Please consider helping me get these books to fill students hearts with a love for reading.

Hi, I am a school speech-language pathologist in a Kindergarten through 2nd grade building in the suburbs of Chicago! We have a high percentage of low income families in my district and are planning on going back to school using a hybrid model during COVID. With that being said, all of my students will need there own individual materials to participate in speech therapy. Sharing my list would really help my students continue to grow and learn in these crazy times without having parents to worry about buying their own materials. All the help and support is appreciated! Thank you, Joselyn Howland!❤️

Hi! I am a 6th grade bilingual teacher in Splendora, TX. This is my absolute first year teaching! I’m super excited to welcome my students back to school at the end of the month. Being a mother of five and having to supply my children, it’s been stressful figuring out how to fund my classroom. I don’t know where to begin with setting up my room and any support would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you!
