What is “Clear the List”? It’s a nationwide movement to support teachers by purchasing items for their school supply lists.

School will be back in session soon (some districts start in just a couple of weeks!), and teachers are already working hard to prepare their classrooms for the new 2025-2026 school year. This includes stocking up on school supplies for their students!

Did you know that many teachers pay for the majority of classroom supplies out of their own pockets? Yes, it’s true! Classroom supplies are not cheap, and many school districts and families are struggling. This leaves many teachers to pay for school supplies out of their own pockets.

Teachers always go the extra mile for their students, so let’s show them how much we appreciate them by giving back and helping to fulfill their supply lists!

You can help by donating items from teachers’ Amazon shopping lists!

Teachers and educational professionals can head over to Amazon, create a classroom wish list, and then share their lists publicly. Anyone can ‘donate’ items that are on the list, and after donating, donors can even leave a note or message letting the teacher know how much they are appreciated. So awesome!

Even better, if you post your list on social media and tag Amazon with #clearthelist, you may find that your list is cleared BY Amazon! So cool!

Teachers, follow these steps to make your classroom wish list on Amazon:

  • Head over to Amazon and hover over Account & List at the top. Select ‘Create a List’ from the drop-down menu and name your list.
  • Hover over the three dots More menu on the right, and click Manage List to update your shipping address (this is important!) and other preferences like whether you want the list to be private or public. You can also designate whether your list is for an organization, and if so, you’ll have the option to provide the website address of the organization.
  • Click ‘Save’ and then you can start adding items to your list!
  • To add items to your wish list, simply browse for products on Amazon and then click ‘Add to List’ under the Buy box on the right-hand side of any item’s product detail page.
  • Only list owners can make changes through Manage List. Both list owners and collaborators will be able to add and remove items.

If you’re a teacher, be sure to share your teacher list in the comments below so that readers can help clear the list! 🙌

Hi! My name is Madison Dale and I am a first year teacher! I’ll be teaching K-12 Music at Bradleyville R-1 in Missouri! I am so excited for this journey and can’t wait to see what the future holds! This is a small school in a poor part of the state, but I know I am going to make my classroom the safest most positive place it can be! Any help in this process is very appreciated!

    HELP NEEDED
🌟 Join me in transforming a forgotten cottage into a vibrant classroom! 📚
Next year, I’ll teach a lively group of third graders in a Title 1 school in Seminole County. Title 1 means a majority of my little ones come from economically disadvantaged homes. Our classroom needs a makeover – it’s a former storage unit that will be turned into a classroom. This space is in desperate need of TLC.
I’m dedicating my summer to turning this room into a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and inspired to learn. But I need your help.
By donating, you’re not just funding supplies – you are helping me create a home away from home for my students so they can thrive in their learning journey. Let’s create a safe haven for learning together!
Thank you for your generosity and support. Together, we can make this school year unforgettable for these young minds!

    Dear Friends and Supporters,
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to ask for your support in creating the best possible learning environment for my students. As many of you know, classroom supplies are essential in providing an engaging and effective educational experience. Unfortunately, these items can often be costly, and I am seeking assistance to ensure that my classroom is well-equipped for the year ahead.
To make it easy for those who wish to contribute, I have created an Amazon wishlist that includes various items needed for my classroom. You can view and purchase items directly from the list using this link: Classroom Supplies – Amazon Gift List – https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/Q95N8Z39ED1J. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a significant difference and is greatly appreciated.
Your generosity will directly impact my students by providing them with the resources they need to succeed.
Thank you so much for considering this request and for your continued support. Together, we can make a profound difference in the lives of these students and help foster a love for learning that will last a lifetime.

Thank you for all of your support!!!

Hello everyone!! I’m heading into my 3rd year teaching 3rd grade 🤗 I’ve learned a lot about what works for my 3rd graders these past couple of years, so I’ve including things that need replacing and some school essentials that my students just don’t come to school with for various reasons that I like to have on hand (pencils, folders, notebooks, etc.) I appreciate any and all donations! ❤️
