Check out these reviews…

I am a frugal person who debated long and hard over the heat press. Why should I pay over $100 when I already have an iron that works? Well for those of you out there that think like me I thought I’d write a review to tell you why.

Not all vinyl is created equal, some need more heat to melt some less. You can control the exact temperature. The timer is amazing allowing you not to stand over and wait. The larger surface is a plus. Also, the press is designed to heat evenly throughout the plate and an iron heat is in the middle spreading outwards. Using an iron takes longer and may not reach desired temps. I find the press well worth the money and convenience.

I have been using an iron for heat transfer vinyl for years. I bought this and my only regret is not having bought it sooner. It heats up faster, maintains its heat better, is more accurate in regulating temperature, has more even heat distribution, and is much safer. Transferred vinyl is more secure than when using an iron. It has a safe, stable stand and has auto shutoff should you forget to turn it off. It is well worth the cost.

How do you get the vinyals to press on? Can you buy letters images? I’m not really sure how it all works.

I have a cricut machine to cut vinyl, but you could buy cut vinyl online and there are precut images (like cricut has mama bear and little bear). There is a cricut heatguide that tells you what temp and how long to press it based on the type of vinyl and what the material is that you are pressing it on. It sounds like a lot, but it is fun… and addictive.

Hi, you need a cricut. The cricut cuts your vinyl and then you use the press, like you would use an iron, to adhere the vinyl to your project. You can get the vinyl from any craft store, target, Walmart or Amazon
