After the stunt that Cricut has pulled limiting how many images you can use a month I don’t recommend anyone purchasing one.

    • NikkiLLM5

      Good to know!

    • Chris

I agree – between the bait and switch in regards to using design space and all the software issues lately, I’m ready to move to a silhouette

      • Akatude08

        What’s a silhouette?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for the heads up on that! We have added a note to the post and will have a new post on this real soon!

I have adhd and wonder if y’all have a to the point article about the cricut, the different kinds, what you can do with them, and what you need for them? I’ve never looked at them but they look like a lot of fun. If I start looking at their page I’ll go off the deep end comparing & contrasting everything possibly for weeks to make the most educated decision. I also have ocd. I don’t have time to do that. Lol.

    • Kate+4

Save ur self the trouble & just don’t get one! It’s a stressful nightmare for adhd’s like myself!

  3. Art2713

I would be very afraid of purchasing one these days. You can basically only use the machine if you subscribe to their Cricut Access plan with a monthly charge. Otherwise, you’re limited to 20 uploads per month of your own images. This can easily be eaten up if you need to make 4-5 changes to a single image. I’ve used 6-10 images on a single project. My machine is now a paperweight.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for the honest feedback and the heads up on that change. We have added that detail to the post and have a new post in the works with further information on this.

  4. Hunterwoody

They won’t be able to give these away soon! I regret not going with the other brand now😞

    • Akatude08

I’m new to all this. Which other brand? Recommendations for a newbie?

      • Raquel

        Silhouette Cameo!

IMHO I think Hip2Save should addressed the new Cricut policy about the limited uploads before posting any deals, so the people will take a wise decision. It’s an investment of hundreds of dollars!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

SO sorry for any confusion, Raquel. Thanks so much for commenting. We do have a new post going up on this real soon. I have added a note to the post.

  6. Lauren

I just purchased a Cricut not even a month ago and had no idea they changed the upload amount until I read these comments. Thank you to all who posted about it. If I understand this correctly it is there way to get you to join the membership program? I wish I would have waited for this sale, would have saved a lot!

    • Hunterwoody

Same! I purchased one for my kiddo at Xmas. Now I am sad and can’t return it. They totally waited till after the return period of xmas to announce this!

  7. Gigi

I bought one from Costco but haven’t used it other than the test cut. I might just return it. I think they will take it back?

    • Stacy F (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Costco has amazing customer service. You’ll likely have no problem returning.
