lululemon ‘Like New’ Resale Program Now Available At All Locations Nationwide
Exchange your gently used workout gear for gift cards with the lululemon Like New resale program!
The lululemon Like New resale program is now available nationwide!
Following a successful pilot program in Texas and California, lululemon is now expanding its Like New resale program. Now you’ll be able to exchange your gently used lulu clothing for e-gift cards at any of the company’s 390+ participating stores in the US!
Today also marks the launch of the company’s resale website where shoppers will be able to buy pre-loved lululemon clothing like pants, tops, shorts, jackets, and more!
The lululemon Like New program will reinvest 100% of its profits to support the company’s environmental commitments. These goals include giving all lulu shoppers the option to repair or recycle the brand’s products.
By 2030, lululemon also hopes to make 100% of its products with sustainable materials and end-of-use solutions.
“At lululemon, we’re deeply committed to creating quality products built to last and that are better for people and the planet. Bringing lululemon Like New to all U.S. guests is a major step toward a circular eco-system and achieving our Impact Agenda goals to reduce our environmental footprint.” – Celeste Burgoyne, President, Americas and Global Guest Innovation at lululemon
How does the lululemon Like New resale program work?
To support its resale program, lululemon has teamed up with Trove. This company specializes in circular shopping and re-commerce and works with other companies like Levis, Patagonia, REI, and more.
If you wish to exchange your gently-used lulu gear for store credit, it must be in “like new” condition. The exchanged products are then cleaned using state-of-the-art technology. Any apparel that does not meet quality standards will be recycled.
As we understand it, this resale program will allow you to trade in any like-new lululemon clothing, including items you purchased on sale! So be sure to browse lulu’s sale items and see if you can find any sweet deals now that you can swap for something new-to-you later on.
Used leggings for sale!
Great idea, but the prices are as bad as the prices on their new clothes. A tee for $49., shorts for $35? Like the above people said- I would rather buy new at better prices and then DONATE whatever is still in good shape to those who truly need.
Thank you for letting us know! I’m excited about this program. If people think this brand is overpriced that’s fine. I have dupes too but the pieces that I own from this store – after 5 million washes, still look brand new! Now I can get credit for new pieces. Woohoo.
You are welcome, Amy! 🤗
I love my lululemon and I wear it every day as a personal trainer and fitness instructor – but if you’re looking to trade some stuff in, you’ll make FAR more money using poshmark or even bay. I’m still shocked how well my used lulu gear sells for on there. Lulu is only offering $5 for bags, tops, etc.
