table full of free birthday food

So my daughter and I decided to gather together all my birthday coupons and spend an hour redeeming them. Just by signing up for birthday clubs at your favorite restaurants, they’ll often send you an email with a freebie coupon.

Most places even allow you to order online and just run in to pick it up! We brought everything home and had a mini sampler buffet for dinner that night. Each item here was totally free, no purchase required.

YUM! 😋🎉

What a fun way to make the most of free birthday food offers! If you’d like to try this out for yourself, check out our list of the BEST birthday freebies!

Where is that yummy salad from?

    • Casey Meyers

I want to know where the salad is from as well.

    • SuperDawn

I also want to know, too!!!

    • Angela

I got the salad from Farmer Boys! They send you a coupon good for your choice of a free burger, sandwich, salad, or breakfast platter. 🙂

      • Michelle

Oh dang, I’m signing up for that! Those salads are the bomb! 💣

  2. Kelly

It’s my birthday month – lots of freebies.

    • Tiggy

Red Robin doesn’t require a purchase? Or Chili’s?

      • Denise

Idk about chili’s but I know that Red Robin doesn’t require a purchase. I actually got mine to go

        • Denise

Tiggy also ruby Tuesday does not require any purchase I got my order to go there as well

        • Stacy F (Hip2Save Sidekick)

I got my Chili’s Reward last month on the 13th. I didn’t redeem but the offer states that a minimum spend of $5 is required and it cannot be part of the 3 for $10, 2 for $25, or Bottomless Chips.

          • Angela

This was my pic and chili’s didn’t require any purchase. I ordered the skillet cookie online and came to the curbside pickup. They scanned the coupon and I was good to go!

  3. Bunny

This is my birthday month. So far I’ve gotten emails from CVS (free nail polish), Moe’s (free burrito), Ulta (free Lancome mascara), Krispy Kreme (free donut & coffee), and Dunkin Donuts (free coffee). All of these freebies I’ve learned through Hip2Save. Thanks so much 🙂

    • Bunny

And a $5 coupon from DSW!

    • Liz

Do you remember with CVS making an online account and adding your birthday to get the birthday freebie? I have the extracare card and get the coupons and deals but don’t think I have my birthday on it

      • Em

I would like to know that too!

        • Bunny

To be honest Liz & Em, I set up the account so long ago. Don’t remember if I added my birthday, but apparently I did.

FYI, for security reasons, every online account I set up, I use a “fake” birthday (using the correct month but an incorrect day). Just an extra step I take due to so many online hackers.

          • Birthdaysoon

What a great idea about using the correct month and changing the date!!! Thank you very much!!

          • OregonLexy

I do the same thing 😆

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Awesome! You’re so welcome, Bunny! Happy Birthday! 🎂🎉

  4. Rn

It would have been nice to post where the freebies came from….I recognize chilis and red Robin and that is about it

    • Angela

Farmer Boys, The Habit, Chili’s, Barnes & Noble, Red Robin, Corner Bakery, Jamba Juice, Wingstop, Dickies BBQ, & Del Taco. 🙂

  5. Briana

That is amazing!! I never knew you can do that😲

  6. Liz

It’s my birthday month too!! I can’t wait to redeem some of these! 🙂

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Woohoo! Happy Birthday, Liz!

  7. CW

My birthday was June 9 and I’m using the last of the freebies this Sunday. Some places are:
    Melting Pot (free strawberries)
    Habit Burger (free burger)
    Tijuana Flats (Free dessert)
    Jersey Mikes (Fred sub/chips/drink)
    IHOP (pancakes)
    Denny’s (grand slam)
    Red Robin (burger, I think)
    Benihana ($30 credit)
    Fords Garage (new, can’t remember)
    Orange Julius (BOGO Smoothie)

This is just some of the things I got!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

SO awesome! Thanks for sharing your Birthday Freebie score with us!

  8. Liz

I know there is no way I could eat all that while it’s warm… a nice thing you could do with your freebies is to drop what you are not planning to enjoy by your local homeless shelter!

    • tipaye

Very kind idea. Utilizing a refrigerator and microwave to save money on groceries is also a great way to be kind to oneself for a birthday…great score! 🙂

  9. EY

Free eyebrow wax from the benefit counter is my favorite birthday freebie!

    • Bunny

Sadly they haven’t offered that in my area for several years now. Check with your local store to make sure though!

    • Angela

Cool! I didn’t know that! I’ll have to check with my location

  10. Tiggy

Red Robin doesn’t require a purchase? Or Chili’s?

    • Birthdaygoodie

Red Robin does NOT require a purchase, I have ordered ahead so I can get it to go!!! Not sure about Ruby Tuesday, they are no longer in my area.

  11. jason

and my doctor said theres no way I can eat 5000 calories a day. on my birthday month i can.

    • Angela

  12. kharrington

Love this! Plus you spent her birthday together! I’m sure the memories from it will last a lifetime!

  13. tipaye

I love this idea! So fun and plenty to share with others (or eat later)! 🙂

  14. New Mama

I did this. Had a girls night with me BFF

  15. LaceyH

It’s my birthday month, but haven’t gotten any of my freebies yet. My birth date is at the end of the month, do they usually wait closer to the date? Thanks!

    • Cassandra

Yep. I get my coupons about 6-7 days before and up to my birthday.

  16. Bianca

My birthday was yesterday. I got a free bundlet from Nothing Bundt Cakes, a free Starbucks drink, a free sub from Firehouse subs, $5 off anything from McAlister’s and Jason’s Deli, a free mascara from Ulta, $5 off from Hot Topic and Charming Charlie, 2 free tacos from Jack in the Box, $10 Kohl’s coupon (I have a Kohl’s card).

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Yay! Happy Birthday, Bianca! Enjoy!

  17. Tori

I usually take the day of my birthday off and spend a day turning in a lot of my freebies. This year besides Starbucks, Panera, Moe’s, Red Robin, Firehouse, Denny’s and Ruby Tuesday’s, I got Dunkin’, Best Buy, Sears, Sephora, Ulta, Lane Bryant and Kohl’s. I still have a few to turn in (Chipotle and Anderson’s being a couple).

  18. Jacki

That salad looks great! Where is it from?

  19. Jen

My birthday is this month. My fave birthday freebie is the $15 that IKEA sends! Perfect timing for this list! 🙂

    • Lucy

IKEA birthday freebie is my favorite as well!

  20. L

Happy birthday! It’s my birthday month, too. I redeemed my first offer on Tuesday.

  21. Gina G.

The bad thing is that none of these places are near me… 🙁

    • Birthdaysoon

So sorry to hear!! 😞 Have a great birthday!! Wish I could share with you

    • mel

ask around at the local chains/restaurants in your area. Or go online to their websites to sign up. Some offer text message options or have an app. I’ve got a few restaurants that don’t advertise BDay freebies, but if you ask, they will comp an appetizer or entree (up to a certain amount). I was surprised to get several 1/2 offers in June since it was 1/2 way til my birthday (Dec)! I thought that was pretty cool!

  22. OregonLexy

And it’s my Birthday this Month 🎈 20more days to go 🎉

    • Allyson

      Mine too!

  23. Stef

    Where that huge cookie from?!

  24. Jill

I stopped by Sweet Tomatoes for my free birthday meal this week. You have to sign up for emails and they send a coupon out around your birthday. No other purchase necessary.

  25. Jessica

I give different birthdays whenever I sign up for something because I could never redeem them all at once. And now for my kids, I give them the same birthday. So for example, when one gets a free cookies from Barnes and noble for his birthday, so does the other!

  26. Jenny

Once I start getting birthday freebie emails i’ll make a list of the items/expiration date (since a lot of places are good for a couple of weeks.) That way I can be sure I don’t forget the ones I really want and can spread the fun around.

  27. Tig

Red Robin does not have to be a burger. You can get a chicken sandwich or salad. Just ask your server for other options!
I like the Starbucks free drink/item. I miss the postcard days of being able to use it for a longer time period. Now it’s an email with very limited time restrictions. I don’t live near a Starbucks so I always call for an extension of time to use it. They have always accommodated me!
Thank you for all you do and your wonderful posts! You are the best site out there! 💕💕💕

  28. Amy

My birthday was last month, and I’ve been having fun spending all my freebies, too. We just got a free 12 inch pizza yesterday from Donatos!

  29. Andrea

Hey Angela, just curious if those wings are from Wingstop? I’m asking because I only get free fries from there and I absolutely love their wings. Thanks.

  30. Sue P

Just had my b-day this week: 2 free car washes– local businesses, Starbucks coffee, Panera coffee/tea/soda, Dunkin any beverage, Baskin Robbins scoop of ice cream, Nothing Bundt Cakes bundtlet, local hamburger sit-down restaurant free 1/2 lb burger, $5 each at Famous Footwear and DSW, plus $10 at Shoe Carnival, Sonic small classic shake , Golden Corral B1G1 buffet, CVS Poparrazzi nail polish, 25% discount for 1 day Goodwill, Jersey Mikes Subs regular sub and a drink, Denny’s Grand Slam, Ulta mascara (although I can’t use mascara due to eye irritaion, so I asked if they could substitute and got an amazing Lancome facial mask instead). So fun! I found, for me, it was best to make a list with expiration dates so I didn’t miss out on any of them.

  31. chickie00

I do this too! 🙂 Though, many of those places aren’t near me/in Michigan. Tere used to be lots more free offers, but many places have just stopped, or changed/cheapened their offers to requiring a purchase/just a $ off coupon. I still get what I can though.
I watch expiration dates and redeem what expires first. I love that Jersey Mikes gives you a whole year to redeem!! 😀

  32. Pat C

Free cookie for your Birthday @ Chick fil la, dwn load their app, Free sandwich @ Mission BBQ when you join their Birthday Club

  33. Toni

Last year on me bday I didn’t get a single Q. Lol I signed up for several somehow my request not going thru lol I find it funny

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh bummer! I’m wondering if some may have landed in your spam folder of your email. Hoping you receive some this year!

  34. Jennifer
