Miss Going to the Movie Theater? Bring the Movies to YOU!
Make it a family movie night! 🍿
Miss going to the movies? Yes, cinemas and theaters have been closed for weeks due to the coronavirus pandemic, but that didn’t stop Hip2Save reader, Rachel, from bringing the movie theater experience to her own home! And her kids loved it!
“With the movie theaters closed, I decided to bring the theater to us!”
“I made printables and did Target Drive-Up for the candy stash. I used my daughter’s play money to use for the spending money!”
“The kids LOVED it and look forward to doing it again! I made sure to laminate everything so I could easily use it over and over again. It was a really special night together!”
Such a fun and clever idea!
Thank you, Rachel, for sharing this awesome entertainment idea with us! 🤗

I love the expensive price tags on the concession stand!
I had to use what cash my daughter had. Ha. Totally outrageous huh?
Anyway we can get a template to print out the tickets and concession stand labels and tags??? That’d be awesome (•‿•)
great idea!!! this is so cute and fun. just a friendly heads up your last name is blurred in the first photo but not in the ones with the kids.
I didn’t even think about it. They blurred the ticket for me.
Make fake money for doing chores around the house then they can buy their concession stand goodies. That might be fun for the younger ones it won’t work on my teenager😂
Not a bad idea! Thanks!
This is adorable! I was at the Dollar Tree yesterday and they had tons of movie theatre concession props by the party decor.
Yes! Tons at dollar tree! I haven’t been IN a store since the beginning of March! Target and Walmart are my go to for groceries right now.
This is awesome!
Thank you!
So cute!
Thank you!
We did this when my kids were younger on rainy days, sometimes we even let them turn cardboard boxes into cars for a drive in movie in the living room, they would color it and put a pillow inside to make it comfy and then everyone had their own special spot to sit
Love that idea!!! Going to do that on our next movie night. It’s once a week. We’ve already gone through the Harry Potter movies and the fantastic beast movies. Now it’s the Hobbit then Lord of the Rings. We’ve never seen them so what a better time than now to binge watch. Thanks for the awesome idea.
That’s super cute! I want to take my kids to the drive in when it opens back up.
We did this last month. So much fun! I was just contemplating buying a cotton candy machine to add a little fun to our next movie theater experience. 😊
I thought about a popcorn maker! Love the cotton candy idea!
We have a cotton candy, popcorn and snow cone machine. It’s adds so much more to movie night. However it is extra work for me it’s worth it to see the kids enjoy themselves. And for way cheaper than going to the movies. For a family of six it can easily be $100. Oh and my machines have all been purchased via H2S posts. Thanks hip2save
Cheap dinner night with it chuck e cheese $5 pizzas & $1 cotton candy they are doing take out at least at my location.
What a fun idea!
So adorable! Thank you for sharing
